Thread: Stat Allocation

One aspect of this game I never picked up on was the importance of stats. All of my chars have kept the stock attributes, but I was wondering if anyone had a good guide to stat allocation. For example, if I wanted a Mon Cal Artisan, should I bump up the Action pool? Should I give my Zabrak Marksman more Strength? Stuff like that . . . inquiring minds want to know. Thanks!

I too wondered how they work. Do stats go up? Does allocation take time or is it instant? How are they decided? My friend started a scout, I a marksman. Then we both added marksman and scout respectively. He gets beaten SO easily and I can take a hit. He's human and I am zabrak. I am more advanced skill wise then he, but we started togther and it's ALWAYS been like that. Should he allocate more to health? and was that decided when he picked scout?

I think you will find that of interest as it goes completely over your exact question :-)

Enjoy!

Greetings, I play a Trandoshan Swordsman on Intrepid, and for awhile now I've been searching for the best mix of stats I can possibly get. I was just looking for some help on the matter, possibly from people who know more about the profession.

My stats are currently:

Health:1050 Strength: 725 Constitution: 775

Action: 900 Quickness: 400 Stamina: 400(Max)

Mind: 600 Focus: 300(Min) Willpower: 400(Min)

I find that if I'm going to be killed, its almost always by my action bar. As it goes, I know my stats as a trandoshan are skewed toward health statistics, but I want to try to have the most balance character possible. I especially would love to get some "fixes" on action, as that gets hurt fast and regenerates slowly.

For those willing to help, here are the minimums and maximums my stats can go to.

Health:550-1250 Strength 600-800 Constitution: 700-800

Action: 300-1000 Quickness:300-450 Stamina: 300-400

Mind: 300-1000 Focus: 300-500 Willpower: 400-600

Any and all help is apprectiated. Thanks in advance for any help!

i would max out your action related stats at the expense of your health stats (not the health bar) Your health stats can take a 100 hit to each

I'm pondering going master swordsman/master doctor so i can always have 2000 Health/Action.. so I was pondering making my H/A bars 800 ea, and then maxing my mind to 1100 since you can't do anything about that. This way I'll pretty much always have 2000/2000/1100 or so except for the second the stuff wears off

Thanks for the replies so far. Anyways, I don't wear armor, as I find it completely bogs down my regeneration, and makes skills cost way too much, especially because I use a curved 2h sword, which takes 64 on action. Anyways, I'd personally attribute the number of skills I do to the reason I'm usually incapped by action...but yesterday I maxed my action bar after lowering Strength and Constitution to 700 each. As for the talks about doctor swordsmen, thats a cool idea. I'm personally going for master CH/Swordsman/and Scout at this time. I wish there were enough skill points to master brawler too though

But thanks for the help, I'll try maxing out my action attributes and see what happens.

That's pretty similar to what I'm doing. I'm aRifleman/Swordman/Medic combo. I can heal my health and status bars with at most two medpacks, so I've given up on health and Action. I left Action and Health around 900, and drained all the other A & H stats to the minimum. I dumped all these points into the mind stats, since all my abilities run off this stat.

It seems to work pretty well so far; as long as i can keep healing myself the only thing limiting me is the eventual erosion of my mind, but that takes longer now. The thing about having no regen or resistance stats is that specials run you down fast, and it takes forever to heal, espceially if it's a maxed out pool. So i kept all my mind stats roughly even, to avoid any weakness.

I think is one of the ways where you can truely seperate yourself into another class of player. However, I havn't seen any research/links on this subject. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to allocate stats for a commando?

I really don't think that you need to change your stats a ton, I haven't just for the fact that with my Comp. Armor on and when I use my specials it doesn't drain that much. The only thing that drains a lot HAM is using grenades and Disposible weapons. I'll ask around, but maybe some of the Master Commandos could share their insight.
