Aspiring commando here (have 4434 novice marksman and 3000 brawler)withquestions about the launcherpistol. I have been looking at vendors and bazar but cant seem to find any launcher pistols (although i havent looked in many places yet).

Question1: When I do find a launcher pistol, will it be called a LP or is itcalled something elselike aBinford 2000 Pistol (or a dx25 something something).

Question2: Looked at the trees to become commando but cant seem to find at which pointyou get LP cert? Is it once u get novice commando?

Question3: Is LP actually a pistol? and is it considered a heavy weapon?

There Ijust answered question #2 by rereading tree specs. Maybe if I payed attenttion the first time around.....

It will be called a launch pistol unles changed by the crafter. Look for lag pistol also.

Well, it is a heavy weapon and gives Heavy weapon xp but it uses your pistol skills specials and accuracy mods, etc. Weird huh?

The launcher pistol can be your best friend sometimes. It is the only Heavy Weapon that you can put powerups on, and damage and speed are good, depending on the crafter. The best thing is, as the last poster pointed out, is that all yer pistol mods and specials apply for the LP. Still though, the Flamethrower is the best Heavy Weapon to gain Heavy Weapon XP with. Work up the Flamethrower tree and then focus on the other trees onlyafter you attain Flamethrower 4. The burn specials are fantastic, but be careful or yer group will start calling you an XP hog.
