Thread: [Template] Master commando / Master Smuggler

I am want to go commando (again) and im thinking of doing it with Smuggler, since there is no smugglers online anymore and they got good crowd control.

Due to the fact i need novice Artisan, (for surveying) im wondering if i can rely on the smugler specials and put my remaining skillpoints in medic tree or if i have to pick something like Pistols 4000, for bodyshot and extra speed/acc. ?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I would actually pick up Pistols 0004 for the melee / ranged defense, plus Improved Stopping Shot. Having both Concussion shot AND Stopping Shot gives you a much greater level of control, plus one can serve as a backup to the other, should the first shot miss.

would they be on 2 seperate timers?

And again, does Smuggler have enuff damage specials on its own ?

I'm gonna make my unlocked character slot a Commando/Smuggler. Smuggler is not just a combat professions, you can do other stuff too, which I like.


As for specials, damageing ones in smuggler, I'm not very sold on Adv reckless shot. Should have good damage modifier but lowers your defense. It could work out well. Then you can put the remaining points into medic if you want.


However I'm considering putting the remaining into BH, but not sure in which branches. Would be good to get a Knockdown shot, or a real damage shot.


BH or Pistoleer are the choices if you want some additional attacks I guess.

this is just my opinion: i used to have full template of "master smug & master commando" even with a full template it was not a great build due to the lack of 'damage' and specials.


like the gang above..i would agree.


master commando & pistols 4/0/4/4 & Combat medic 4/0/0/0 along w/your 'novice artisan'.


i think you can pull that off. it would be pretty nasty and an even better crowd controler.


just imagine....you have an AOE commando weapon..spamming intimidate and root. woot! woot!


alternatively..i would pick up the BH line to get 'underhand' shot for a knockdown..woot..area ranged knockdown. ub3r!

since i have a MBH/MP/CM4000 also, i would maybe replace your pistol with carbineer instead...
