I came across a bit of a bug after the last patch and was wondering weitehr it was common or just cos i was on lagtooine ...
Doing missions from out of MO, fighting a creature with a rifle so quite a distance, i found that i could not use bacta healing on myself without untargetting the critter, before the patch i could keep the creature targeted and the heal would by default heal me, now all i get is the message 'too far' come up over my head and have to untarget to heal, anyone else had this problem?

Alright there could be a couple ways your having this problem. The first one is the most likely one is that you are probaly in a group and for once people are outdamaging you and your probaly not realizing it. This is why it would say too far is because when you heal and you have a creature targeted your heal heals whoever the creature is attacking. The second could be a bug but i have not heard anything about this bug so just see if maybe the first one anwsered it. I hope my anwser pleased your question

If you have an enemycreature targeted, any "helpful" actions (like healing) are done to whatever player that creature has targeted. So if you're in a group and the creature is attacking someone else, /bactashot (or whatever) will try to be applied the other person. If you're too far from that person, you'll get the "too far" message. If the creature isn't attacking anything (say you're still concealed and it hasn't come after you), I'm not sure how the "pass through" heal works.
I have two heal buttons on my toolbar: one for just /bactashot to heal whatever I have targeted (or as a "pass through" when targeting a mob) to take care of group members and pets, and one for a macro that has "/bactashot self" to ensure that I'm healing myself.
