Thread: Infiltration and Demolition Content for Commandos??

With regard to profession specific content for Commandos how about Missions where you have to infiltrate a base either by killing the guards or whatever and destroying it with explosives(grenades or similar to faction bases, the overload switch).
Ideas please??

a commando specific misison, hmm, that sounds pretty fun.
infiltration mission:
they could give us a skill like the spies from command and conquer have. you know, where you can mask your affiliation. maybe playermaster squad leaders or colonels of the opposing factioncould targetand 'interrogate' or something to uncover us. or possibly make it akin tosplinter cell, where you can sneak around and complete missions.
destroy mission:
probably easier to impliment. you go to a commando terminal, with a group, get a mission, and a clock starts. you have to finish it before a certain amount of time, or reinforcements will arrive to totally ruin your day. rebelscould of coursedestroy a imperial outpost, imperials the same to the rebels, and a neutral could go stealstuff, do missions for any of the various 'neutral' factions, or hire on asamerc in the GCW.

Some of the new Ranger features sounds a bit Commandoish. I like the stealth and infiltration parts, but it seems Ranger will be the ones making those kind of things. That will probably make Commando more of a pure Combat profession, geared towards Big Weapons or something.

They don't just sound a bit Commandoish - they sound exactly like what Commando should have been, a "Spec Ops" combatant. There are mines, remote detonators and a lot of camo stuff that should have been assigned to Commandos to "finish" their skillset. Can't really think of a more fitting profession. There are also some Smuggler-like skills like urban stealth (and stealing which shouldn't even be in-game with the current game mechanics regardless of which profession it's assigned to), and a lot of Bounty Hunter-like skills like man-traps and other gadgets (poison darts!).
But don't say it out loud, you'll get accused of, I don't know, revamp-envy. /rolleyes

i'm jealous, i'll admit it. to be what i envision a commando should be, i guess i might have to add some ranger. i wonder how they will get xp after the revamp, picking pockets and placing IEDs?
