Hi everyone, I think I've found out about a bug, or maybe it was intended that way but it surely decreases the power of any fire dot including the flame throwers. I saw it fit to post this here because commandos are one profession that excels in the use of fire dots.
There are two parts of this bug:
1) When you put a health fire on someone, and if they have the max number of wounds possible for their health, that person will not incapacitate due to the fire dot. This is because it seems only dots that wound can incapacitate players, and if the dot doesnt deal any wound then the target will be left with 1 ham
2) Battle fatigue is supposed to increase the damage taken by a target, but this bug affects here again... If your target has the max amount of wounds for the stat you're burning, then battle fatigue will have no effect and even if the target has 950 battle fatigue, the fire dot will tick at its normal strength
----------
Testing of this was done by a really long duration health fire dot weapon, and I'm sure the same conditions apply to commando, but its not as easy to discern how much its supposed to tick, and the fire ends too quickly with a flame thrower sometimes to notice this bug.
Also you may say that if the target has the max amount of health wounds, then he's dead already but with 2.5k+ buffs and possibly 2k+ ham from food, the target will still have a health pool of 4.5k+, and with the reduced strength of your dots, due to the max amount of wounds reached, your chances of success in that battle surely dcreases
-----------
EDIT: An example given to the second part of the problem and how it can affect you:
The first part of the problem where people doesnt incap but are left with 1 ham, because target cannot get any more wounds is not that important. As you have pointed out its pretty easy to incap someone with a 1 health left, a nunna could do it.
However the second part really affects people because when your target has600 battle fatigue and you expect your target to tick (just for the sake of this example) 1.5k , now your target ticks 1.5k once , and gets 500 wounds, 10 seconds later he ticks off another 1.5k, and gets 499 more wounds, maxing out his health wounds at 999. He gets healed by a stim at this point but he's still burning. when you wait for the next tick to get another 1.5k+ off him, (cause you just hit him again with your flamer for same damage) he suddenly ticks 600 damage, because he cannot get any more health wounds, and thusbattle fatigue doesnt get counted for his tick. This is a 250% decrease in the dot of the target. so the target ticks 600, gets off1 more headshot and then sniper shots you, you die, and clone
Hope I'm making myself more clear now

Incapacitation does not occur due to a DOT, it's been that way for a LONG time. It's even applied in PVE.

Umm, wrong? That's poison and bleeds only, Disease and Fire still incap and always have. Which also happens to be the only way to kill a Master Defender Jedi using the Avoid Incap power.

if you're having trouble killing someone with 1 HAM then there's something wrong with you

I believe I still did not get my point across. So I'll try again slow this time

Want to make my problem clearer number 2 is the one that im concerned with mostly cause it deals damage..
This is my problem... If the target gets 999 health wounds in 15 seconds, then then having higher damage ticks due to battle fatigue will be cancelled giving the target burn ticks as if it had 0 battle fatigue. So someone with 500 bf could tick 2-3 times the strength of the burn, but instead he ticks only the usual amount at 0 battle fatigue.

can't you just switch to the LP and fire healthshot1 once to finish it off?
