Thread: One person's Vision on what the commando should truly be. Ideas for the up coming combat balance!
- Ignite area /igniteArea, This attack sends a wave of flames over a certain area, causing a fire around a 15m radius. Anyone who steps inside this area will immediatelycatch on fireand start to suffer wounds almost immediately. This affects all people in the area, whether they are friends or foes. The area is engulfed in flames for about 5-10 seconds
- Fireball /fireball, shoots a hot ball of fire, instead of shooting a wave of fire. This atack has much more range then thespray attacks and can also dizzy them upon impact. This atack is much more powerful then the default attack
- Firewall /wallfire, This attack shoots fire 20m in front of you, causing a wall of fire to ignite and can last several seconds. This can give severe wounds and you can catch on fire as you pass through it.
- Fire Spray /FireSpray An attack that sprays the foe up and down in fire, causing damage to all ham bars. It has a chance of knocking them down and can place a random HAM fire dot on them as well.
The Heavy Acid Rifle has always taken a second chair to the flamethrower, and I would like to see it improved. First of all, give a poison DoT to AR that does about the same damage as the FT's dot. And again, specials are mediocre and needs a revamp. The current acid rifles specials should be removed and replaced with these.
HEAVY ACID RIFLE
- Toxic blast /ToxicBlast A powerful corrosive wave of toxic acid is shot around the enemy, creating a haze of bad poison. The longer they stay inside this haze, the more effective the poison is. This attack does light damage, but can have severe side effects.
- Acid Wave 1 /AcidWave1This attack is similar to acid cone, but it can cause poison when struck. An area attack of light damage. This attack can devastate your foe by causing severe poison.
- Acid Wave 2 /Acid Wave2 Similar to acid wave 1, but can do more damage and can also spread over a farther area.
- Acid shot /AcidShot This attack, instead of shooting a spray of acid, charges it into a concentrated blast of energy. This attack has much more range then the acid spray attacks and can also stun them as well. This attack is much more damaging then the default attack
- Acid Spray /AcidSpray An attaack that sprays the foe up and down in acid, causing damage to all HAM bars, it has a chance of knocking down the target and can place a random poison DoT on them as well.
I have had some issues with Rocket launchers and grenades, quite frankly, they disappoint me. i would like to see some BIG change done to them.
- Targeted attack: /vTargetAttack - An attack that takes a second delay to get a good lock on the target and launches a seeker rocket at the target. This attack is highly accurate, but takes a while to target the apponent. All Ranged and other evasion mods are cancelled out with this attack.
- Area Strike: /AreaStrike Launches a rocket about 30m in the air from you, explodes off several mini cluster rockets, having a massive wide spread effect. This is splash damage and hurts all combatants, friend or foe. (note this implies to the rocket launchers only, all energy cannons will not be able to use this attack
- Overload shot: /vOverloadShot This attack overloads thepowermaking a highly damaging, widespread shot. This can devestate your foe and can stun/blind/dizzy them as well. But it has a delay of about2 extra seconds, for the cannon to recharge.(this is for any energy beam cannon only, rocket launchers wont work here)
GRENADES
- Timed explosion: /timedExplosion You toss a grenade about 40m in front of you. (Rather then tossing it at the enemy) It has a 3 second countdown till it explodes. When it blows, it has a 20m radius effect, damaging all targets nearby, whether they are your enemies or friends!
- Flash bomb:/FlashBomb You reset the current equipped grenade, to make a widespread flash. The more powerfulthe greande, the moredamaging it is, and the more chance it has on the states landingthis is a medium damaging attack, but it can dizzy/blind/stun them as well.
- Smoke bomb: /SmokeBomb You reset the current equipped grenade to set off a cloud of smoke. This attack can spoil the accuracy by 60% or so,of all foes nearby. The more damaging the grenade, the better effect it has and the more widespread it is.
- Blast grenade: /blastGrenade This attack is of medium power, but it can create such a poweful force, that you can be bowled over by the sheer force of the attack, causing you to become knocked down, it also has a chance of dizzying as well. Once again, the more powerful the grenade, the more damaging it is, and the more chance the states work.
- RPG: /RPG This attack works with a special rocket launcher, that you load grenades into to fire. It launches a rocket propelled grenade at the target, highly damaging and accurate. This attack also is splash damage, hurting all friends or foes nearby. This attack is significantly more damaging then the default rocket or grenade attack.
Now with the added specials and equippable weapons, the Rocket launcher and grenades will need to be toned down a bit. and maybe get rid of the rocket launchers uses and make rockets able to be placed inside for ammo. It really is a pain for WS to craft rocket launchers because of their usage. But if they can make rockets for the rocket launcher to take, im sure things will be improved. ![]()
I have great hopes commando can become something more then the current status of it now. And these changes will give commando a great new feel and spice things up in PvP. Im open to all comments you may have. ![]()
