I have Mastered Commando whee pin a star on my butt for being stupid. One hard grind and no way to make credits for the effort. A speed handicapped on all weapons soif not buffed to the eyeballs and wearing 500+K worth of armor I can get killed by akreetle.So far I have killed myself with a grenade I threw, got incaped by a spice fiendand then killed trying to use an acid Rifle on her.I can't hit the broad side of a barn with any launcher weapons. Have a certificate for a Heavy Lighting Beam Cannon now that I'm MASTER so far all Ican find are LightLighting Beam Cannons (BH).I have yet to find anything with Lighting attached to it for commandos. If it is no more accurate and faster than the rest of the crap the commando has to deal with then I may just as well off without one.

After rereading this I think I will delete commando and become a dancer at least they don't have to die 16 times a day just to prove they can light a BBQ grill without a match.

In reply to the dude hunting Racor as a novice commando I just finshed a mission so eather you did it in your dreams or you are the biggest liar on this or anyother server.

1. Rancor are 60% immune to fire and acid for starters.

2.The hit ratio of 1 in 10 and firing rate of 8 to 9 seconds per round as a novice means it's going to take you 2 hours or more to bring One Rancor down if at all.

3. The only weapon a commando has that will work on Ranco is the Launcher Pistol with a HAM of 56 to 120 an averageof about 88HAM per shot witha fire rate of 2.5 seconds per roundmeans you will need 220 good hits per min.

4.That means it will take you average of 34 min to bring down one Rancor with a Launcher Pistol.

5. There are 8 to 12 Rancos per spawn that means you have to be there for 5.66 hours to kill the average spawn of 10.

6. Rancors have a death blow so that means you can not be incapped or you are dead.

7. Rancors never come one at a time.

So go blow your smoke up someone elses rear cause this dude aint buying your story.

mmm....I got novice yesterday I started hunting rancor? you must be doing something wrong...

Not too sure what youre posting about mate, doesnt sound like youve tried commando at all?

Hey,

I can do quenker missions faster than a TKM. Two hits are all it takes to do a quenker with Cone1 so it wouldn't matter if I am not speed capped.

If that doesn't work, I use Single2. I can ONEHITKILL a quenker with it.

If that doesn't work, I pull out my VKs.

I can kill lots of stuff in one hit with my flamer,,, problem is, hitting them. But I'm not a Master, I can't comment further on the first posters problem really. Only really wanted to shoot down the second dude bragging about hunting rancors while novice. Not likely to happen very efficiently or succesfully using a lag pistol or a flamethrower considering how often you miss and how little damage a lag pistol does.

Well, I'm coming from M Pistoleer, TKM, M smuggler....completly dropped TK, but I'm still M pistoleer....

My LP is 370 max damage with pup, and as I'm am speedcapped I drop a normal rancor (any of the rancor vuln. to blast) in under 10 seconds...

As for FT acc. it really does suck at low level...snow cake and /aim help though.

If you don't want to use the LP to level, you should hunt normal pikets and (giant) baz nitches..they're vuln to heat.

And it's best to boost you're mindstats and get pharma IV for survival if you can take mobs down this fast....

For you grenades (and all heavy weapons)...ask the WS to put experimentation points into range/accs

Okay Sundowner, to answer your question:

The bounty hunter weapon is the Light Lightning Cannon. Commandos are not certified to use this weapon in their professions. You are getting it mixed up with the lightning launcher(or weapon with very similar name). It's a launcher, similar to the rocket launcher, acid stream launcher, and heavy particle beam launcher.

WoW, novice commando and hunting Rancors,, You're so leet.

I was hunting Rancors at novice commando as well, but I sure as hell wasn't using any of my commando weapons.

I'm taking the genade line,, but after nearly being incapped by my last cryoban, and gettin' the snot beat out of me cause I can't hit anything with my flamethrower, and getting constantly screamed at for using my lag pistol o'doom (launcher pistol) I'm thinking of dropping it.

I jsut got novice commando today....wanted to try out the pistol and the flamethrower.

I rolled rancors...lol I did not read this post before doing this heh

omg the flamethrower and launcher pistol were totally useless...

Fortunate for me im also a 3/0/0/4 BH (light lightning cannon)

3 hits with lightning 2 and they are down boom

not sure how anyone can do these missions with the commando weapons. Deciding weither to keep comando or drop it and pick up doc

Why Rancors????

I washunting on Dantooine when I started novice. Hunting Huutons to start of with but now I am on Piket Plains Walker's..

So in effect my skills are 2-1-4-0, I use the flame thrower on the pikets and about 5 seconds per flamesingle 2,I kick Piket butt.

With buffs at 3 hrs, each mission i do on Pikets takes me about 10-12 mins (at 10k) mission.. Now thats alot of xp and cash.

Plus Pikets don't disease as well..

So again... why hunting Rancors at Novice.. Dantooine is a nice place to hunt plus you can even flame those cave men guys if you get bored

Only ask cause I am new to this but I am still loving Commando and seemed to be doing quite well at the moment too.
