Thread: I noticed some people complaining about the Negative skill attachments, IMPORTANT info inside.

I read a thread a bit below this one about the negative skill attachments, and how its so lame.
It has been posted in here by red names, I cant remember which one and I dont want to search for it right now, that they will be getting fixed, and it was very likely that they would be retroactive.
Therefore, all the people destroying -5's and all those negatives, should be saving them, since they might turn into something nice someday. Something REALLY nice.

Given history with changes to things... if it's an improvement, it's rarely retroactive, if it's a nerf, it's retroactive.

those negative skill ups are used to get rid or a skill up stat on a tape that you want to use.. Like say you have a +10 combat medic exp and a +20 pistol speed on the same tape. when you put that tape in the clothing it will use the first stat. UNLESS its a big unless,, there is already a combat med exp already in that clothing. The negative tapes are used to dump that stat you dont want.. and NOT have to pay insaine amounts to do it..
The skill tapes are working as intended, Not sure why there should be anything more than a -1 but that may have to do with the over skill up drop system.. Those - tapes are not usless they just need to be used in combo with the tape you want to get the enhancement you want.. there is nothing broken on those tapes. they are working as intended..

i cant believe commandos are still trying to use skill tapes.
in an unfortunate error, heavy weapns skill tapes ony effect the use of rocket, acid, and particle launchers.
every other weapon in our armory is considered a SPECIAL heavy weapon, which they do not make tapes for.
even so, the HS skill improvement tapes only give a nominal improvement, and are usually worthless when it comes to the launchers, where one in 4 shots hit.
