well there are my 4 favorite templates:
1.
master commando
master tk
medic 1000
(i got middle defense and some medic.. not bad - but no scout - i dont like the TK)
2.
master commando
master fencer
(very high defense - no medic - no scout - but i love the fencer)
3.
master commando
bh 0004
tk 0304
(i got the llc (which i really love and it got ap1 with electricity damage) and scout ... and middle defense - but no medic)
4.
master commando
bh 0004
tk 0002
medic 1000
(llc (like i said .. i love that weapon)- scout - some medics - and a little bit of defense)
so what you think about them? i was thinking to do nr.4 ... but i got the smallest defense of all 4 ...
any other templates you guys like? which one do you prefer?
thanks for the answers

Well, I'm going MCo and BH 0444. Minimal defense and no medic. The left over 4 points are going into FS speed and/or accuracy. I'm just crazy about the weapons

Master Commando / TKM is by far the most popular Master Commando-based template.
It's flexible and you can still get a novice in another base profession.
It uses your skill points very effectively.
You don't have to worry about wounds increasing your downtime by waiting for a Medic or Doctor.
I was M.Commando / TKM / Medic 0100 for a long time, until the BH Pre-requisite reduction.
I then switched over to M.Commando / BH 0404 / Carbineer 3000. It looks great for a Stormtrooper type of skillset. I also hit the Carbine Speedcap. Spamming specials while buffed and with Vasarian Brandy in Stormtrooper Armor doesn't phase the HAM bar much.

You will never get far if you have no Medic, it is almost a necessity for all templates.

True, but even more if you try to solo alot.
But my Commando/BH/Carbineer template screams Storm Commando. Here's why:
* Master Commando. BH xxx4 ensures he has near mastery of all the Heavy Weaponry in this game. The Flamethrower, HAR, HPBC, HAL, LC, RL, and the BH's LLC. The only thing I don't get from Master Bounty Hunter is Lightning Cone 2. It doesn't even give additional LLC mods.
* I get good abilities with Carbines. My proficiency with Carbines however isn't anywhere near that of a more dedicated Carbineer/BH style of template, but I am no slouch with appropriate looking Carbines that suit the Stormtrooper/Imperial image: E11, Enhanced E11, Elite.
* The BH pre-requisites of Scout 4xxx gives me the often laughed at ability of Terrain Negotiation. This is a huge advantage against the pure melee def.stackers in the wilderness. This advantage is even larger in places like Dathomir with steep, variable terrain.
* Complete lack of ranged/melee defenses: Your defenses suck anyways in medium or higher end PvE. At these levels or higher, MoBs will ALWAYS hit you. The difference is if you have high Dodge cycling with CoB and good state defenses (which I don't have). Good state/def.vs XXX is something my template lacks.
* My template is a ranged fighter... a Star Wars, Galactic Civil War fighter, an Imperial. A Stormtrooper / Storm Commando type of fighter.
I have gone around soloing without Medic. I don't do the real high end places like the Corvette. The sole purpose of the Corvette is for making people lose their Composite Armor. That's it. I can't afford to lose my valuable Stormtrooper Armor for a blatant sink like that. I lose enough condition when Rebel players triple-incap me while I wear my ST armor.
If I go out for GCW purposes, I'm never solo. I'm usually around with at least one other Imperial, preferrably more if I manage to find some (getting harder nowadays). Usually someone has some medic. Some Doctor or CM if we're lucky.
My template is an "All-Or-Nothing" template. But it definitely doesn't fall in line with the "temploiters"/Def.Stackers/etc.

I like Master Commando, TK 4000 for meditation and the rest into scout.

with medic 1000 you cant heal a lot of damage ... high level enemies are doing much more damage than you can heal ...

Medic 1xxx or whatever box is just enough for low-medium levels of PvE. It's barely adequate in medium levels.
Like I say, all or nothing. Don't do anything half-a**. Go big on defense, offense, or whatever.
