At least we now know that the CU will be hitting live in May.

With SOE's track record, is that anything to be optimistic about?
They've probably devoted 75 - 90% of their resources to the expansion (despite any claims to the contrary), and will probably continue to do so til after it's release.
In other words, it's the same basic thing we got with JtL.
"We're going full speed ahead on the combat upgrade after the expansion, we promise." or words to that effect.
And we all know how well they kept that promise.
If (and I do stress the word 'if') they have the CU finished and published live by June, it's likely to have been hastily coded, and will be as bug-infested as the core game was at launch.
I hate to sound so negative, but look at their history here; lie after lie, delay after delay.
With all that in mind, I'm sorry, RankorCity, but I have to respectfully disagree with you; I don't see this as a positive note at all.

I think it'll be done this time. They are trying to attract new players with the expansion and it's timing. They don't want these players to show up and find out the combat system is going to be totally redone in a few months. They want it to be done when they show up. If they aren't done then, I'll be even more worried about the mental health of the SOE leadership than I already am.

Theoretically this is the new dev team's bag, so they should only be using 50% of their resources, and that 50% was expanded, so really it's more like somewhere between 0-50%. Theoretically...

RYU, you are just being negitive. I like their last several publishes and I have been playing since day 1. I have never seen a good publish until recently. Now I am slowly getting my faith back. I look forward to May now for 2 reasons:
1) two good publishes that will definatly help this game and
2) no more damn snow (we are getting 3 " today and I am pissed) I want to take my flame thrower to old man winter and then bury his ashes in the cool spring rain!

The CU has to come out in may AND before the RotW.
If they dont SOE and LA loose any creditability with any one outside SWG. (we already lost most creditability already 
)
)Same thing happened with HL2 when they kept pusshing back the release date, they got beaten up left and right and LA and SOE does not want that to happen to them.
Edit - Any info given just to the community (forums) they can break w/o outside retrobution. However since they have given the information out to other companys and sources they have to keep there promise.
