I'm looking for a class where I can seriously be a harzardous threat in PVP; at first I thought about doingcommando, considering commando is a "military unit trained and organized as shock troops especially for hit-and-run raids into enemy territory", and someone who is very skilled in the use of powerfulweapons. But after reading a lot of this forum, I'm very skeptical about becoming a commando. I already have unarmed spec, master marksman, and 30k combat xp, but I'm not sure I should pursue commando. Right now, lookingat the skill tree, "Commando" doesn't look much like a commando.

So I'm faced with this conundrum, should I become a commando and just hope that in the near future the devs make this profession into what its supposed to be? Or go ahead and do another profession, which one, I'm not sure of, but hopefully someone can recommend a good one where I can be a good fighter in PVP. Just not BH, since that takes up too many skill points.

I would say don't do it. I grinded forever to get novice, and can not really do anything else at this point. Teras Kasi is my next choice, as I already have unarmed specialist.

If you gocommando you will get owned in PVP. Commandos don't stand a chance in PVP.

The master rifleman does a 1200 point headshot with a good rifle. Commandos don't do 1200 points of damage to anything. (we can't target any HAM bar)

However the best dueler I have seen yet was a pistoleer.

As it stands, I would not recommand Commando for anyone. Just read the forums, they don't excel at anything and have numerous weaknesses.

Can anyone recommend a strong profession then?

I think the most powerful profession at the moment is Pistoleer. In my PA we have a Pistoleer who either is, or is near, a master and he wades into battle and stands next to even tough mobs, just pistol whipping them over and over, until they die. He said after he got melee defense everything was gravy.
