So I get novice commando about two weeks ago, knowing full well all the baggage that came along with the class. My plan was to work on pistoleer mostly while waiting for the fixes to be patched in. Backup plan involved using a thrower on easy missions to gain hw xp. I had a few problems to say the least.

I play on bloodfin and it appears the cuibrian steel used in making throwers hasn't been aviable sence the first week of server launch. It took me about a week and a half to find one for sale. Oddly enough the person who sold it to me just dropped commando. The weapon itself was great(for a thrower) and still had over 960 cond. left on it. I get a group on Lok, break it out, and start to cook various critters.I decide to log for a few hours after racking up MASSIVE hw xp(bout 5k in 1.5 hours, amazing! i know) to give my eyes a rest. This is where the fun begins.

I log back on and notice my hotkey for my thrower is empty. That's never a good sign. A quick CRT+i confirms my horrible notion.

A bug has eaten my only heavy weapon.

I didn't know weither to laugh, cry, or declare Jihad on Sony and strap 5 pounds of c4 to my chest and run head first into their server bank. I mean hell, i had 4 pistols I could have done without on me, but my thrower that cost me 25k and rare as hell deicdes to go Jimmy Hoffa on me?

Its been about 5 days now, its still nowhere in sight. My "Have you seen me?" posters with a picture of a fireball on them go unanswered. So I beg of you, my fellow commandos, if you see a flamethrower wandering through your server, please let me know. I miss him greatly, almost as much as he missed everything he shot at.

Did you transfer your thrower from one charecter to another cause if you did every thing you transferd to the new charecter tends to delete. Trust me it has happend 2 times ot me . I guesse they dont want people to transfer *shrug*

Nope, I bought it, used it for about an hour and a half, logged off, then logged back on. This isn't the first time, I've had three pistols and a laser carbine vanish on me also. Friend is still missing two scout blasters. My laucher pistol decided to go on walkabout about a week ago, but he came back after about 4 days. I hope his trip was nice through database limbo.

That has been happening to a few people, including myself, i lost my spraystick, then the next time i logged on, i had my spraystick, but lost my scout blaster. Great job on that....

the first day i got my launcher pistol, my scout blaster disappeared, i sent in a ticket and the next day that i logged on, it was back... perhaps you should bug SOE

The only time that has happend ot me was when i tarnsferd somthing. And yes if you send a ticket in to SOE they will recover it just dont make a new charecter or they will say they cant do it

I too have been having the same problems. One day I purchased 2 alunchers pistols, took a shuttle and they were gone form inventory. The next day I got both pistols back but then my flamethrower was missing. My flamethrower was missing for 3 days and I logged on today and it was back, however, my knucklers are now gone. I have submitted a /bug everytime I log on and soometimes even 2-3 in gaming sessions.

Have you noticed if the things that went missing were in the same physical location of the pack? Maybe what happens is two items get stuck in one position, so you can only see the one, while in fact both are there. Then next time you log in the item has come back to the front, but whatever was in the position that it was would then be inaccesible.

Well, here is the tip. Listen up folks. I tell people this all the time. When you buy something, examine it. If it gives you the stats, you are ok. For awhile. If it gives you a general description, do this. UNEQUIP your weapon. Log out for AT LEAST (very important) 10 minutes. 15 preferable. Log back in, and your weapon will be equipped. Now, if you find that you bought a gun, equipped it, and killed a few things....then all of a sudden, it doesnt work. Do the same thing. Log out 10 minutes at least. Remember HAVE NOTHING EQUIPPED. If you have something equipped, the missing item will take its place, and you will lose whatever you had. Good luck in retrieving your items folks. I have lost every weapon I have purchased, but with this trick...I got most of them back.

This has been happening to me too (3 weapons so far). As previously said, the trick is to log out for a decent amount of time with NO weapon equiped. I don't know what triggers the "lost" weapons coming back, but then they do come back, they always come back equiped. So, that causes you to lose other weapons beacause the take the place of what you had equiped when you last logged out. I've now spent 75k on replacing lost weapons in the last, only to have the all come back using the no equip trick. So, I have an extra Launcher Pistol and Heavy Acid Rifle on chilastra if you need one...Oh, and my first weapon to disappear didn't come back for 5 days, but the last two came back within 12 hours.
