Well, I just recieved the title as Novice Commando yesterday. What is the best way to get HW xp? My flamethrower is horribly innacurate, so when I use it in a group on Lok I only get 100-300xp, which also hurts the group becuase I can barely ever get a shot to hit, even though I am always in the prone position when firing. Can anyone help me out? How did you guys get your combat xp?

First off, dont use prone with a flamethrower, it has a horrible accuracy modifier (dont know why), your much better off at kneeling. As far as I can tell the best way to get hvy weapons xp at novice is to massacre thousands and thousands of crazed durni's for 321 xp each. They are easy to kill (most of the time), and even if you miss the first few shots kneeling at 46 m(they tend to walk away a couple meters on the first hit) you can still kite them./aim helps a lot.

hmmm...prone should make you more accurate then kneeling, I dont know why its not.

Anyway, what planet are these crazed durni's on?

I think it has something to do with the game treating the flamethrower like a melee weapon, not sure. Or maybe since it is a heavy weapon it supposed to have a lot of kick, or be difficult to wield in that position. I mean, ever seen anyone try to fire an RPG from prone? Crazed durni's are on corellia, I usually take difficulty 11 crazed durni warren missions in Kor Vella (with my carbine or pistol equipped) so that they are easier to find. Usually find a spawn or too on the way, that helps a bit.
