If you have the Pistol skill...can you pistol whip with the Launcher Pistol?

If so...with the upcoming patch...will this be the fastest way to gain HW xp?

Yes. I am a master pistoleer (novice commando) and I can do all the specials including Disarm 2 which is a ranged knock down. From what the dev implied is that the launcher pistol will still be able to use pistoleer specials (which includes pistol whip) but will simply start getting HW xp.

I would think that the launch pistol would be the fastest way to gain HW xp after this patch. I have a launcher pistol that is 53 - 253 and speed of 3.3 (if I remember correctly). Nothing else in the commando weapons list is as fast and as common (at least on my server)as the launcher pistol. I've solo'd those giant brotosaurus looking creatures with a launcher pistol, cant remember their names.
