Not sure how many of yo saw this but here is the link. I'm also an architect so I've been posting over there also. I know they are pretty happy about this of course but here is my thoughts on it. http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/content.jsp?page=Player%20Cities

Why are they adding two new classes when the existing ones are suffering from a number of problems? From the sounds of this release this add on is near completion. So they've had people working on it. I know they need to add content but can't that wait til they fix the major existing problems? I know theme park and NPC missions were broke. I haven't check real recently to see if this is still a problem. We all know of the problems with commando. Broken weapon certs, wrong XP for weapons, weapon damage issues, and weapon delays. Other professions are having issues too, some major. There are problems with factories that makes certain buildings unable to be made it seems. So given all this, why are they adding more problems with two new classes? Unless SOE is hiring a number of new people they are spreading their troubleshooting teams thinner. Which is going to result in more unhappy people. There are always going to be people that are going to complain about issues because they want their class to be uber. I'm not talking about them. Just basic playability issues. I like this game a lot. I'm having fun. But I would be having much more fun if I could actually play the class I want (commando). Instead I'm doing other things until they are fixed. I've basically stopped working on commando until there are changes. It's just to frustrating. Common sense would dictate they would fix the existing major problems before adding a whole new group of them. But then again I learned long ago common sense isn't all that common.

You do realize these classes have been under constrction for a while right? As in before release? Player cities have been in production and were "supposed" to be available on launch, but they got pushed back. The 2 new classes are vital to player cities so to put out the cities that are supposed to be out already, they also have to push out the player city classes ready or not.

Months and months ago, the initial game was to release with Player Cities, Vehicles, Outer Space combat, and all the classes to go with them.

This is not new development, it's finishing old.

Didn't know they were suppose to go with the launch. But since they didn't and were being delayed why not delay them a bit more and make the existing ones work first? I don't think they were getting nearly as many complaints about player cities as they were with problems that already existed. Not asking to fix all the bugs. Just the major issues before adding more classes. People aren't missing these things since they haven't existed yet.

Well you see, here is the thing.... SOE has different sets of people working on different things.... so while one set of people working on player cities are "getting finished" with thier project the other set of peoplewho do "profession balancing" and such are still hard at work... so don't think because new content is on its way that they are just ignoring everything... cause i'm sure there is a team... even if it is just one person that is still working on professions.... he's probably that guy at work no one likes or talks to cause they think he's strange... so the amount of the feed back he gets isn't as much as we'd like to see, thats why its taking so long
