Commando Archive

I'm a commando I have an Acid Rifle, but I get a message saying that I'm not certified touse this weapon. Am Iblind or is the Certification for heavy Acid rifle a Novice skill in Commando. Is this one of the broken Commando functions, and can I recover my combat XP and become a BH until they get Commando fixed?
