Flamethrower dots are a joke.
My idea's
First off, flamethrowers are nothing more than big, glorified squirtguns. They don't hurt you unignited. just spray foul smelling fuel on you. It's when the fuel is ignited do they hurt and hurt bad 
So, no flamethrower/plamsma flamthrower should have a listed dps of over 100. they should have a heafty dot (around 200-500 depending on special used) this dot would cause wounds... not damage...

Bad idea relying solely on DoTs with the FT 
BUT, DoT damage is PATHETIC currently...and its on our top 6 (of 10...). In a battle exclusively using a PFT, the DoT damage amounted to one tick of 262 damage...in 46 seconds of fighting...

commando has so many weps, why not? Every weapon should have its place and usefulness. Currently on TC, beacuse of cross proffession certs and specials, there is almost no uniqueness to anything. every weapon (IMHO) should have its distinct use for a given situation.
Grenaders should be divided into 3 catagories.
1. frags <--- do aoe high damage
2. flashbangs <----aoe blind/dizzy and aoe stun/kd varieties
3. riot control <--- similer to present day CS and its vareints. has a large aoeBlind/mild dot
also, grenades are personal indirect fire weapons, you do not need LOS to use them (unless you or target are in a building, much easier to just exclude them from structors to prevent griefing/bugs ect.)
