Thread: need help on template finding dam.....

Hi i have been messing around on the test centre alot recently and my template in live is master commando /smuggler and i dont really want to deviate from this template but obviously in the cu we have gotten some of our points freed up but on tc i tried keeping master marksman but found lethal shot absoultely useless if not broke coz i really couldnt tell what the shot was doin... if any.


Im finding the mezzing and recoveries very handy off smuggler and obviously having fun with the commando toys but im having trouble finding where to spend the rest of my points trying to get a straight forward damage shot i seem to have the mezzing (from smuggler)and the coolness(from commando) but am lacking serious damage specials any help?



things i have found useful in pvp rockit launcher with the mezzing really keeps players on the ground they are constantly snared rooted and then when they get loose of it the built in kd of the rockit launcher kd's also lobbing the imp detonator almost 90% of teh time kd's them.


the plasma seems to do more dmage than any of our other weapons but the special effects seem to miss abit more so u can land some damage but wont get the rooted or snare that u may need. but the added distance on our flamers seem to catch ppl off gaurd some still thinking the 17m but its now 30


proton grenades seem to be the best for doin damage to people in pvp out of the grenades...


the proton rifle although displaying moredps than our plasma is doesnt seem to damage as much but does have 65m range which is nice


and the acid beam rifle i have foud to be borked yet again it only has 40m range so its only 10m more than the plasma so id rather have my rockit launcher or proton rifle out in stead and whats happens is a pistoleer or melee person will charge in you will fire the rifle and the message "your target is too close acid splashes into your eyes and has caused you to be blinded" or sumthing like that yes it has a built in blind as we know but having ur eyes burnt out wasnt part of the plan.


also found if your are a smuggler if you are against a all rangedattacker equipping your blast knucklers and only using the 4 melee specials we have will still do quite well against them even if u are only brawler 4000


all in all im doin ok, but ive got enoughpoints to get 2 lines in another ranged prof and im really lacking damage specials so whats good to have?

I am leaning toward this as well and gonna add 0004 pistol for improved fan and stopping shot. Rest going in Scout, I cant stand not having terrain Negotiating.
