I've been reading alot about the post CU templates, but I haven't had the time to TC at all. Maybe someone can help with a question:

My initial post-CU template is MC/TKM (what I am now)plus Smuggler 0040 Pistoleer 0030. This has Melee Defense of +200 and Ranged Defense of +135, plus the pistol specials for my commando weapons. My question is, are the defense stats important at all, or is everything going to be CL based? Should I dabble in TKA short of Master and get the BH pistol specials?

In other words, are the stats more or less important than the specials?

Skill modifiers are practically useless now, it's basically:


Something 2 levels above you willfry you.


Something one level lower than you or more will do practically nothing to you and will take you next to forever to kill.

as it is now, i think that depends on whether or not you want to pvp, since that's the only time you'll really be going against equal levels.

Not really looking for pvp. So I guess the point is to maximize CL and specials.

What is the best way to estimate CL? Is there a template builder that estimates possible CL?
