Thread: Heavy weapons? Wha?
Hey all. I'm planning on becoming a Commando (I know, I know...), but I'm pretty confused here. Since when are flame throwers and acid rifles considered "heavy" weapons? I mean, from what I've seen in the game they're pretty small compared to what I would call "heavy" weapons even by today's standards. What Commandos really need is the following:
- A BlasTech E-Web
-A BlasTect T-21 Light Repeating Blaster (our primary weapon?
)
-Anti-Personnel Turret
-Anti-Vehicle Turret (the big dish-like ones from Hoth)
The turrets should take about 30 seconds to a minute to set-up, and the same amount of time to dismantle. They should need a power supply of some kind, and be totally immoble (so you're an obvious target), though they should probably have an armor of somekind.
Also, when player vehicles are implemented I really, REALLY think commandos should be the only ones allowed to operate armored vehicles such as AT-ATs, AT-STs, hover tanks, etc.
THAT is the commando we were promised. This is no more than a wish-list, of course, but I'd still appreciate any comments. Man, I wish the Devs had gotten all this fixed in beta. ![]()
Everyone talking about the vehicles that are soon to come...Take one out with a flamethrower...LOL.
Oh well. One day, we will be on top!

Galain, the guns you're referring to are the E-Web blasters.
And I whole-heartedly agree with this whole thread, don't recallt he model number off hand, but the empire commonly used repeating rifles, they were big and bulky as hell, and fit the commando perfectly. It can be our one weapon that has a decent refire rate, give it dmg equal to a carbine, or midway between pistol/carbine,with like a 1.0spd. Those things fired fast as hell, they just weren't overly powerful.
