Thread: Fire Knockdown, In the wrong place?

For BH's Bounty Carbine Spec III, they have a special move called 'Fire Knockdown'. The description for the move went something like, 'You release a large amount of flame to knock your opponent off guard.' or something to that affect. It seems like they are describing a flame thrower move. Also Commando's don't get, as far as I know, a 'Knockdown' move and it seems every other combat line as one at least.

So am i just high or do BH's have our knockdown?

Commandos have a knockdown. Usually its themselves that get knocked down by a gorg.

The exact description goes like this:

'/knockdownfire : This ranged attack blasts the target with a quick rush of flame aimed at their upper body, which can cause them to be bowled over by the sheer force directed at them, causing them to become dizzy as well.'

If that isn't a flame thrower special, I don't know what is.

Does the 'stop shot' on pistoleer actually knock the target down?

Think so, and so does Pistol Melee Defense, but those aren't in the Commando line ;p

I dont think 'stop shot' is a knock down, at least not on the NPCs. Pistol Melee Defense 1 (2 is broke) has a knockdown when in close combat. If you are a master pistoleer (like me) Disarm 2 is a RANGED knockdown and is VERY powerful.

Disarm 2 is an ungodly AE Knockdown that can be used for soloing an entire camp at a time(even major reds on Dath, etc.). This can easily be done by the time your action bar is used up. Truly powerfull...

You've forgotten they don't give a **** about us. They've got us roped already. We're paying $14.95 a month to play a broken class.

Don't wake me up bro, I'm in a wonderful dreamland wherethey actually have a clue and care about us. It's an amazingplace where the EQ/DAoC/AC2 guys have gone home andyoucan't punch ahuge K. Dragon to death, where heavy weapons are actually needed to attack very large creatures.

dont u ppl watch the movies? Bhs have a flamethrower built into their suits. i believe this is what they are trying to represent with fire knockdown.

dont be bitter, leave all other classes alone, dont call for nerfs we just need to be brought up to par.

The fire your talking about is from Jango Fett and his Mandilorian armor which had a flame unit built in. I'm assuming not all BH's are going to be as powerful as Jango.

It's not about 'nerfing' BH's anyway, it looks like a special that belongs to the flame thrower is on the wrong tree. Then again, I could be wrong.

So if I roll up a Master Chef and buy a set of mand or comp armor I can use a flamethrower to WOOT. WHy am I bothering with the commando profession, all I need is the right armor and I can roast my own chestnut dinners I prepare ill be a badass for sure.

If we are using the movies as our outline, then since the flamethrower is in the armor, any BH not wearing the exact same armor in the movie, they shouldnt be able to use the fire knockdown style right? Next time I see any BH not wearing armor using that style Im gonna pull him over and give him a ticket and tell him he isnt following the movie's script.

Think Ill swap out the commando profession for Master Chef Barbeque Extrodinaire (with my uber movie flamethrower armor) & Master Star Wars Movie Police Officer.
