Thread: We are NOT gods!

On practically 100% of the posts I read, it's people bitching about how powerful we are, how we shouldn't be able to to 3k damage per hit in pvp, etc. I'm sorry, but either the commando got lucky when he killed you, or you just simply aren't good at pvp. I was out in dantooine getting on the imperials' nerves, and then one of them challenged me to a duel. I was utterly slaughtered before I could even fire off one shot (knocked down, eye shot, confusion shot...etc).
So when I got back up, another one challenged me to a duel. This guy was your stereotypical "I'm a leet pistoleer, nerf commandos so I can be leet again" kinda guy. He had no pvp skills at all, he sent me on a chase around the little stone island in the middle of dantooine for about 2 minutes, still within my range to pull off a special. Trying to be the "godly" commando that I am (hahaha...)I decide to use a flamesingle1, and it misses. Pretty much screwed, the guy took potshots at me for about 10 seconds, and then I could use flamesingle1 again, another miss.
I hate it when people use one specific negative example to bash our entire class. Watch us in combat, we still take damage like the rest of you. Actually I think I get incapped a lot more now that the mission difficulty I can roll doubled. Even at flamethrower spec. III I'm still quite inaccurate. As much as I hate to say it, I think it'd be a good experience if everyone suffered the living hell of getting unarmed spec. IV and then getting a cute little heavy weapon and experiencing the rigors of miss-miss-miss-big damage-10 second pause-miss. Maybe then we wouldn't be bashed down to a second-citizen class.

I agree completely but this is what our class was ment to do, I never expected to be the best at PvP (one on one fights) leave that to the Carbiner's and Pistoler's. Where we will shine the brightest is on turrets and for all you rebel Commando's (im imp so this doesnt really apply to me) AT-ST's and the all powerful AT-AT's.

But you have to admit the first time you shot a NPC that has a rifle and you score 9000 dmg you do feel like a god....

I've actually never done 9000 damage to someone...the only things that I've one shot-one killed in pvp were a group of people's pets. Guess the people I mess with are actually smart =P

Don't post things like us being able to take out atst's with flamecone1(even though we can't)... the dweebs that think we are too powerful will take that and run with it. I'm already battling it out on the boards for Bloodfin. This crap is really pissing me off... we miss a **edit** load more than we hit... when I hit with flamecone1(I'm on lvl3) I get lucky if I even hit two enemies... most time's I've got to switch to my Sword to keep from dying. They really just don't understand.

Seriously read the guide on how to use the macros.

Adding /aim to the use of our specials adds +30 accuracy

When someone asks you if you're a god, you say YES!

Sorry, just had to have a ghostbusters moment there.
