the increased front-end damage was to offset the loss of such a powerfull burn. I blew the poop out of Rori all yesturday testing the new mechanics. Being as im a rebel.. all refereces are rebel based. I also tested limited use in PVP.

PVP

Flamesingle 2 with a damage slice flamer (614-1140) consistantly inflicted 21-2200 points of damage on a PVP player target. When healing said target with novice medic/384 base heal stim B's the target player never incaped again, aprox. every two ticks (~300 damage a tick) i would need to apply a stim to keep the target from incapping. Wound damage is severly reduced also. *However* (this will require more testing) when dueling a Player target with a health buff, and continued application of flamesingle2 every 20 seconds (spamming) the target took aprox 1000-1500 damage. The target was master brawler/working on fencer.

---My main test i have yet to do for PV is to attack a fully buffed player wearing full composite armor, as soon as i find a schmuck...i mean guinee pig willing to stand there ill report my repeatable results.---

PVE

Flamesingle2 against Storm Trooper missions (difficulty 25): I was able (using above speced damage flamer) to consistantly one-shot every storm trooper i came across. Running up to each target then stopping just short of fireing (letting the to-hit modifer drop from -50 to +6 most of the time) resulted in a consistant 10-13000 damage and one dead stormy. against creatures, using the same run up and stop manuver to bring the to-hit modifer in the possitve (+) I was able to one-shot every creature in the area around the Rebel Outpost. This includes Ravenious Tortons (possibly the largest animal on that side of the planet) I have yet to try it against a Maul Master (that has large heat resists) but generic maulers also died instantly.

-while moving-

with the to-hit modifer still in the -30 to -50 range, damage averaged around 7-9,000 consistantly.

Flamecone2 against a layer of Crimson Razor cats (on corellia): Three targets struck with the cone (same above flamer, in a stationary standing position) resulted in hitting the first target for 9999, the second for 11540, the third for 12450 damage. needless to say they all died instantly.

Striking layers with flamesingle2 consistantly deals damage in the range of 13,000 (with defenderspopping out of the layer) to 36,000 (presumably with no defenders left...not 100% sure as the layer blew up and nothing poped out)

Using a Speed sliced flamer (3.0 4xx-8xx) the damage ranges were much like that of a damage flamer pre-publish. average damage for flamesinge2 (post-publish) was ~5000-7000. when standing still damage topped at ~8,000

My recommendation to the masters who have ageing flame throwers:

contact your trusted *competent* weapon smiths. high qual non-kryat stats on flamers maxes at 4.5 speed 4xx-8xx damage--pre slice. Pre-publish the delta between a high damage and high speed slice flamer was minimal, aprox 3,000 damage (the max damage on a 3.0 speed flamer being ~5,000, the max damage on a 614-1140 damage flamer ~8,000)

We've gone from 10,000 every 14 seconds (for a 3.0 speed flamer) and 16,000 every 20 seconds (for a 4.5 speed flamer) to 16,000 damage every 14 seconds (for a 3.0 speed flamer) and 26,000 damage every 20 seconds (for a 4.5 speed flamer) The delta has increased dramacially, while the overall recycle time has not.

Buy in bulk (on the order of 25 or 50) high qual flamers and get your local friendly master smuggler to slice the spoot out of them :-)

If anyone else has noticed any other (repeatable) results post em here so all of us can benefit!

on someone with 80% heat armor, i only do 200-300 dmg per shot on em with flamesingle2... but since i also wear heavy armor i just spam the heck out of it and hope to find the armor hole (love the /tells : "dude, im wearing full 80% heat composite, what the hell?" /reply: "blame your armor hole")

oh, armor holes are easier to find if the target is on their back...

Is the first commando shot supposed to bypass armor? It sounds weird but since the patch, the first time a commando shoots at me, his dmg goes right through my armor. He can 1 hit incap me even when i have full armor.
