It is my understanding that LP is the way to go but... What are some of your favorite animals/npc to hunt?

Anything that specifically has low blast resists?

Actually, I was using FT at novice... If you /kneel before you start firing, you will hit pretty often.

As for exp, I hunt on Talus (a moon of Corellia)for my exp, there aren't as many aggressives there as there areon a lot of other planets, and there is still a nice selection of mobs.

Find yourself a nice mission terminal, and just pick 'em up one at a time. Huf Duns (including ViciousHuf Duns)and Torturs are very good experience, but if you're not careful, they might cause you some trouble. Also, the Wolf Kimas are very nice as well, if a bit too fast for kiting.

By the way, if you are much better with pistols (say you have pistoleer) then you might as well use the LP, especially if you have a good one.

What server are you on? If you are on Ahazi, I can give youthewaypoint of a nice place with decent Flamethrowers on Talus... Otherwise, you'll have to find your own, sorry

I would suggest to pick up a pet to tank for yourself (I heard they nerfed the non-CH level pets, there might still be some bio-engineered pets that are only level 10 with a HAM of 4k), or find someoneto go with you.I had my pre-nerf probot and I am part CH, so I had some tanks.

If you still have trouble hitting with your flamethrower, and kneeling and getting close isn't helping enough, you'll be stuck with your Launcher Pistol until you get /flamesingle1. If that is the case, you'll definitely need a good tank because the LP doesn't put out a lot of damage very quickly, but at least you will hit with it. Also, it is a bit weaker now since Health Shot isn't as effective as it used to be, and I have yet to get Warning Shot to work consistently enough to fear kite(which it worked almost all the time when I first started playing.)

I hope that helps you some! Good luck

Ugh, horrid grammar! I wasn't thinking when I wrote that... How about "I would suggest picking up a pet to tank for you..." Yes, that's better

And if you don't want a pet, go to Rori (The moon of Naboo) and start hunting Leviasqualls and Vir Vurs. Both give good exp, and move about as fast as paint dries. Though when I hunt Leviasqualls I feel like telling everyone to "Be vewwwy vewwwy quiet..."

May I suggest using your Aim ability. It adds about +25 to your accuracy. Use this as your first shot while kneeling as close as you can to you target. Obviously will not work on aggressives unless you mask scent on.

I USED TO take Defense Stacker 2....do you?

I'm a commando 1022 and a ch 3111. I'm using a lvl 19 BE cu pa with 25% kinetic resists and 8k ham. Go to Dantooine, hunt pikets (get longhorns if you can, otherwise plainswalkers).

The cu pa barely gets scratched by the pikets (kinetic resists, remember?) and I can sit back and flamecone them. Each piket protector is 2500 xp, each longhorn is 2900. Not to mention 460 CH XP and 10k creds for the mission (9500 for walkers).

So I'm bringing in about 30k-40k creds per hour and around 75k heavy weapons xp per hour.

This depends of course on having the right pet, but if you can swing it, I don't think there's a better way at this level.

I exclusively use the Flamethrower, and have been using it since Novice (now at Flame Spec 2). All you have to do is Kneel, and Aim. Once I got to Flame Spec 1, I just kneel, aim, shoot. You can do that three or so times before the mob gets to you. When its within 16m, FlameSingle1 and boom, with our new upped-damage, it's dead.

I hunt Cannibal Dewbacks on Tatooine. 5-7k HAM, non-social, aggressive, 2200 or so HW exp each. Heat vulnerable. Very very easy. I use a 4.9, 1070ish max damage FT, I can generally one-shot them with FlameSingle 1.

You can find a lot of these around the Krayt Canyon.

This is funny; I thought I would have everyone say Launcher pistol, Launcer pistol.....but it appears that FT might be the way to go. I have no extra pistol xp, so I will try the Flame Thrower.

I've been working on Commando for about 2 days and i'm 4/2/4/4. I've found that the Decay mite cave on Talus is pretty nice. I'm getting about 50-75k per cave (With a Droid or mount in my group left in town). the best way i've found to do it is to go prone about 50 meters from the mites then just attack when they get close use flame cone or flamesingle 2 if you have it. Hope that helps.
