I'm a frenchy player, in Kauri and I have choice to play a commando for the support combat powerfull.
But when I play against other player, it's very very bad.
Without armor only a PSG, I seem that I die many times. As I was a advanced commando (3,3,4,3) and i use my FT.
I use a pet and pet factions but I don't really understand why the pvp is too hard for my specie and my profession.
I don't have problem with in pve but against human pistoleer CH or other I can't, I can't.

Why Why !

it's very long to raise commando and I like a wookie, but I was thinking to reset my player because It's too difficult.
Anyone has a same experience and can help me?

Also I must to avoid the pvp !

Hi Koumi, I amMCS+Commando and I am having the same problem like you have. From my opinion,wookiee is not really suitable for PvP, because we can't wear any armor.

The strategy I use is send in a pet first, let it attract enemy's attention, and then rush in use flame shot or cone. Btw, you can have have 2 pets(1 out) even you are not a CH.

Also, get some buff before you go into PVP,ithelps a bit too.

Screw that if you're 3-3-4-3 you have skill in heavy weapons, shoot some hpbc's at the people, you can hit em from 48m and they won't know what hit em when you can shoot them every 2 seconds for 700-1100dmg per hit.

Im still pretty new at all this having only played for just under 2 months now. However I currently play a Wookie on Bloodfin and am currently a Commando 0/0/4/0 (also with Master Marksman and Unarmed 4) with Creature Handler 4/4/3/4.

I have had no problems being a Wookie and not wearing armor, having creatures helping to Tank for me helps a lot while I place Flame and then bleeds with my launcher pistol.

In PVP I have also been doing okay, or as good as most other none wookies ive seen. This is the area which having no armor sucks a bit as I have no effective way to increase my kinetic resists etc so I am pretty vulnerable to melee (TKA) guys. But I've found that even in PVP where pets are not really all that effective, having 2 high kinetic resist pets guarding me does help a great deal. Currently I am using 2 Toxic Merek Battlelords (both not fully grown so I can pull 2 out at the same time) and these guys are fantastic both in PVE and PVP.

Anyhow thats my limited experiance; but the most important thing to me is that I enjoy playing my CH/Commando Wookie a great deal.

I've started playing my Master Commando without armour simply because I die so much in PvP now that it really only takes me about a week to go through a set of armour, and 2 days to go through PSGs.

I wasa Wookiee master commando (dumped some of the acid rifle skills for extra points recently) and pvp is tough. Mostly because I hadn't complimented my commando skills withdefence mods from otherprofs. I've since then taken up TKA and Smuggler (for Feign Death) to round myself out a bit more. Plus I like messing around in other profs every now and then. I'm a commando at heart though and I'm not dropping too much of it. Hell, I'm maxed in heavy weapons xp so I could get my acid rifle line back right quick if I really wanted to. Unfortunately, the flame thrower is the only commando weapon I use on a regular basis. Someday we'll get fixed....someday...
