I have a question about how something in Commando works... I am currently working towards becomming a commando and am not sure how things such as Flame DoT works..
If I put a Flame DoT on a creature and do no other damage to it I believe I get full Heavy Weapons Exp
If I use my Pistol to put HealthShot DoT on a creature then do no other pistol damage but use some other type of weapon such as rifle, I would get full rifle exp.
Does the same thing hold true for the commando dot? Can I put a Flame DoT on something then kill it with something else (like a sword) and get the sword exp??

until next patch, theoretically yes, however the flame thrower does a lot of damage besides just doing a dot, so it would probably steal a large portion of your xp as HW instead of pistol or whatever, unless you were doing it on creatures that are 100% immune to flame.

I found that using my flame DOT on rancors and switching to X weapon I get full experience for said weapon.
X = insert any weapon here
