Hi

I fought some Black Sun guards on Yarvin 4 and I just wanted to tell all the commandos that they do not like heat much...

Hope that it is theese guys we will see in the death watch bunker.

The Black Sun guards are dropping Bounty Hunter armor (One of the main componets in the upcomming mandalorien armor) now in live but they do not have a fixed spawn point so you better find a good ranger friend.

The rumor I'm hearing is that Commandos should do better in the DW cave then they have in some of the other recent new content...

As soon as I finish my TC Template I'm going to hit the DW to do some testing...

A straight up commando is not going to do well at all in the DWB. It is populated with Death Watch (~40-60k HAM, AP2, 100% acid, 65% energy and kinetic, 70% blast,60% heat, 35% electricity and cold, 50% stun resists) numerous battle droids (~60k HAM, AP2, resists similar tosuper battle droids I think) andnumerous super battle droids (225k HAM, AP3, 100% cold and blast, 95% energy, 85% kinetic and stun, 60% heat, 40% acid, 25% electricity). The real problem in the dungeon are the super battle droids, as these were taking 20 people about 8 mins to take down (no exaggeration), and this leads to additional SBD's spawining on top of you.

Ancient weapons and hokey religions are no match for a rocket launcher in your backpack.

I just dont get it...SBD's have 100% blast resists...yet only 35% elec resists?

Seems like all the talk about giving commandos a better chance in dungeons is really for the BH's....

And even when the things are Blast Vuln or low Blast resists...our "niche" barely does the job compared to a swordsman (we're really heat....atm)

The BH armor is also dropped by Black Sun Henchmen, Thugs and Assasins. 1 and 2 are easy as a commando, with the flame DoT, since their HAM is quite low. The Assasin is harder, around 33K HAM, but isn't really a problem with some unarmed skills and the DoT.

As for the usefulness of Commandos in DWB: Not good, except for the Flame DoT.

Where are you finding the Black Sun mobs? I've been looking but haven't had any luck so far.

You can find blacksun spawns on yavin and dathomir (rumored) on live. The DWB is only populated (enemies, npcs, crafting stations) on TC.

I was on Yavin4 yesterday, came across a Thug and Henchman spawn area. Dropped them both in short time, got 3 pieces of armor from them. Until a few rifleman came thenI out did me in damage. Left just after that but they did not get any drops I had been there for a half an hour....so the spawn went null just as I was leaving.

I only know what spawns on TC, but on Endor around /waypoint 0 0, there are statitc spawns of 2 Black Sun Henchmen and 1 Assasin, together with some Death Watchand SBDs.

Stay away from the later, if you are soloing. The BS can be soloed by a commando, but don't aggro all 3 at once.
