What is a good way to raise Pistol xp? I know grouping with people is obvious but do certain weapons give more xp? Kinda like the creature xp with lower level creatures? I am almost to Slicing 4 and wanna start getting my Pistol up today before I use up skill points on a worthless skill from what I hear.

One important trick is to get the highest rated weapon you can get - something with loads of damage and a low speed - your XP is based on the amount of damage you do (when in groups) so you want to try and do as much as possible.

Even if youre going solo, invest in a non CH pet trained with group, or a droid which you can group with, as it raises your XP per creature by 25%

I just started trying to get pistoleer. Im working on novice right now, and i was wondering what a good way to get pistoleer xp is?

Go to Rori. Kill everything in sight. I whent from Novice Marksman to Novice Pistoleer in one night.

I have noticed in the last two days that when using my launcher pistol....something I don't do that often....that I've been getting very pitiful pistol xp....

anyone else noticed this?

What the? I thought it was changed to Heavy Weapon xp... must send a bug report on that one...

Yes, when I use my LP, I get extremely pitiful xp (zero) but decent hw xp

no, i'm serious...i was bar-be-queing ewoks last night on Endor and I ran across a few creature and decided to play around with feigh death....well...I'd equip my lagpistol (launcher pistol for those who don't know)then i'd lowblow, bleed 1,bleed 2, feign death....then i stood up when they walked off, equipped my cigarette lighter and flame2....

well i'm way passed maxed out on Heavy Weapons XP and I noticed that it gave me 77 pistol xp....it's done that a few times in the past few days....

I get pistol XP when using the LP as well.

I'm maxed on HW xp, and like you have smuggler skills - that could be the link.

I am a Master Commando and Master Pistoleer, and I find if I use any of my Pistoleer (usually Pistol whip) moves while having the launcher pistol equiped I get pistol xp. The only thing i can figure isI get pistol xp for that move because its in the Pistoleer line.

Might be a certain special that adds to the pistol xp of the kill, or maybe when a bleed ticks while feigning death (if that even gives any xp at all).
