I've been meaning to try out this profession for months now, but it wasn't until I moved from Live to TestCenter (and got 4 more toons 
) that I finally got a chance to. I have to say, even at low-level this profession is fun. I'm a recovering FPS addict, and I absolutely love the huge explosions. Sure, I may not hit as often as I do with my pikeman (yeah, that's kind of depressing) but my god, when I do…muwahahaha.

What can I say, Rebel medics only give but so much FP when you make them disintigrate with a rocket launcher (sensing a theme? I like rocket launchers. )

What is wrong with the game!!!
I made novice commando yesterday, and I wanted to get a flamethrower, acid rifle, and rocket launcher. When I went to the bazaar or any vendor, it tells me that I am not certified for anything but a launcher pistol (which by the way is really kool). Is it my client, computer, or what?

As a Novice Pistoleer/0-2-1-0 Smuggler/0-0-2-0 Commando the commodity details views tells me I'm not certified for an FWG5…ignore it, it's wrong. Just get the weapons you have listed in your character screen certifications list and have fun with 'em.
Edit: and before I get accused of dabbling for the LP and FT, I'm dabbling Pistoleer to speed up the LP—going for Master Commando and Master Smuggler

If it says you're not certified, it doesn't mean that you can't use the weapon. I actually don't have any idea what it means... I bought a Krayt FT that said Certified: No but I could use it.

Even if you are not certified for a weapon, you can still "use" it. However, your damage is greatly reduced if you dont have the certification for it.

Yes, but in this case we're probably looking at a commodities bug. In some cases—and I've yet to figure out exactly what the circumstances are—vendors and the bazaar will tell you that you aren't certified when, in fact, you are, and you won't receive the non-cert penalties. (My FWG5 example, for instance.)

Yep Im a MAster BH and I bought a LLC that says I am not certed..it still works fine. As for Commando love..it is alot of fun opening up with the carbine knocking the target down..then moving in as the weapon switch timer ticks to set them on fire.

Yup, you are correct. Some bug that states you dont have the certification even if you do. I was referring to the person asking what it meant to not be certified in something.
