commando has no specials ppl seem to be having troubles with this..... commando is a weapons cert profession and can use any other professions ranged specials with that weapon.. the special is then boosted by the commando weapon making it a stronger attack.

That was the concept, but not the current effect. We do less damage than a pistoleer/rifleman/carbineer would do with their respective specials because we have no high damage weapons besides the PFT. The only boosting we do is give other ranged profs more general ranged speed and accuracy to their high damage weapons and can add in a much weaker, AoE, aggro-drawing, DoT or status using ourHeavy Lightshow weapons.

If someone is doing more damage with their heavy weapons than their alt prof's with rifles/pistols/carbines (besides the PFT with it's long range of 25m)... they need to take a look at the bazaar and grab a new weapon with better base dps.... can find weapons for 10k etc with better dps than our heavy weapons.
