Bacta Spray combined with any commando weapon that is AoE will result in one dead commando/CM in PvE. I only have the healing line though, so I'm not sure if the offensive abilities of CM will be beneficial seeing as they only effect one target, not an area of targets.

WIthout specials from another profession to use with the commando weapons, this combination would be left rather weak.

Tested it tonight for a bit. All I can say is for P vs E in a group you will be popular (healers / rezers allways are) solo basically lack of special attacks and speed bonuses hurt a lot. I took some pistols to get basic stopping shot but this wears off fast and the lack of defence/ damage output murdered me.I'm going back to MC/Master Smuggler with a bit of CM healing chucked in.

Yeah, I've tried this also. I find that the "offense" part of CM doesn't tie in particularly well with Commando, since you are left wanting ranged specials. So, I adjusted to Master Commando / Master Pistoleer / CM 4000 (ranged healing only). That gives you pretty good offense, excellent group support and crowd control from pistoleer, and the CM healing abilities barring resuscitate. I'm enjoying this template so far.

In PvP that's likekly to be a fairly potent template since you can really layer on the DoTs, and keep yourself alive while theydie.

I am currently working towards Master Combat Medic/Commando on bloodfin right now. I tested it on Testcenter using the blue frogs first. I am also picking up the Conceal line of Rifleman.
On TC I would conceal, leg shot for the snare, poison, then hit with my flamethrower. The poison and flames would tear the health to nothing and then one more flame to finish them off. It was great!
