Thread: Novice, finally. Average wpn damage?

Before I run out and buy the first acid rifle and flamethrower I see, what's the average damage on them? What's really good damage? Speed? Prices don't concern me, as I know they fluctuate per server.

i bought a hand-me-down from this guy... i dont remember exactly how much i paid, but this was on starsider, where the economy is inflated so high, i can run rancor missions on dathomir for 2 weeks and still not be able to afford full comp... anyways, mine is 543-1083 5.1spd

first dont buy a acid rifle there junk and only good for looks
the normal none sliced FT on radiant are about 883 max dam and 4.5 i belive

Okay. I wandered about a bit just outside of Coronet on SS and the best I found was 480-878, 5.2 for 25k. I'll probably go with that. As for the HAR, I saw a crappy old looted one on the bazaar for 3k and bought it. 31-150, 8.9 or something like that, but dammit, IT LOOKS COOL.
Also, found an LP: 68-244, 2.4 for 75k. Am I nuts to buy it?

Buy an LP, go for nov pistoleer... use that til you can hit Flame III, or at least II, cause up til then your accuracy is horrendous.
Don't waste money ona HAR unless you have it to burn on a novelty item, cause that sucker is only gonna collect dust...
30k should get you a decent weapon.... 40k some of the top notch ones....
Go for the lowest speed you can get early on, cause the low speed and accuracy you start out with... the misses will kill you on teh long cool-down time....
