Thread: Venom Trooper, a Commando/CM template idea

Hello Commandos,


First of all, I come from the BH/Pikeman boards, mostly a lurker. Been playing a while last summer, and now again since 3 weeks, so while I try and read up as much as possible, I still lack practical experience.


Onto topic: Those of you who have seen the game "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" will remember, hopefully, the "Venom Troopers" ... breathing-mask wearing, minigun or flamethrower toting soldiers in greatcoats.


Now, somehow this idea stuck in my head, and I thought, how to create a stylish-looking character like that.


Also, for some reason I cant seem to leave Combat Medic out of it... both for the Terrain Negotiation, and the "fear-inspiring" aura. Dunno, it just has to be in there.


So, my current idea was: Commando 0040 / CM 4034. I wish I could get the "Chemical Warfare Expert" Title, as it fits wonderfully, but it would come along with a massive hit in performance as it requires a healing-based skilltree to max out.


Now I wonder if that template would work in PvP and PvE to the point of not being totally redundant...its half style, half substance after all

Interesting, very interesting since the best part of commando is the Flamethrower. Although the best part about Rifleman and CM is the fact that you hit them in the mind with a shot and disease or poison them in the mind at the same time taking away a lot more mind points than any one alone. Commando needs a mind shot special to compete since that is the lowest ham to buff. And hardest to protect against ( no disease or poison bonuses and stun armor is low at 36% usually.
