By simply going Tera Kasi and filling the Precision Striking tree for a total of 20 skillpoints youll get 30 Melee Defense and 30 Ranged Defense. Heres the great part, it uses Combat XP so you all you need to do is get Tera Kasi novice and just keep doing whatever it is your doing.


In total that will give your finished Master Commando46 Ranged Defense and 37 Melee Defense, not that shabby really?


Also if you have skill points to spare you can fill the Meditation tree and gain some additional useful skills to help damage regen as well as heal wounds if I read it correctly.

Food for Thought. Pistoleer Stances and Grips also has many defenses like +30 vs Knockdown and +20 to blind, stun, etc. AND training up this branch gives you some nice specials you can use with you Launcher Pistol.

They fixed defenses. Defense is no longer useless.

If I'm not mistaken, you only get those bonuses when you go unarmed. If that's not the case, then it would definatly be worth it.

Last patch three days ago they fixed it.

It was mentioned in the patch.

Actually, what they fixed were the state defense mods (defense vs stun etc.) The melee and ranged defense mods have supposely always been working. The problem is everyone's to hit bonuses are far greater than the defense mods so you will only get missed like once out of every 10 hits. Does that make it worth it? Probably not IMO. I think I would rather put points into pistoleer or maybe medic.

... that if you are a Rifleman and a Swordsman you can stack FOUR mind bleeds? And that each one does about 1000 per bleed, no matter what the creature's resistance is?

yep, that would be awesome for pve, but for pvp youd find yourself only usin you rifle, which for me was a dissapointment. the only times id use my sword would be against other bralwers, and that happened a whole 5% of the time.
