Hello all,
I have been playing SWG for a while but mostly lurk here and do not post much. I have dabbled in many professions and mastered few. I am currently a TKM and have alot of fun with it. I have been searching for some time now for second profession. I have climbed halfway up many tress from fencer to Pistoleer etc etc.
I have begun commando and am currently 1030. I am going to stick with commando for two reasons. The first is that it is great fun. I can already see that it is terribly broken and needs a revamp but I am still having a good time.
The second, and foremost, reason is this community. As broken and busted as the profession is this is an amazing and positive forum. So many of the folks here are optimistic and the posts provide positive and constructive ideas and feedback.
Also, Garvin. He is friggin on top of things. I just read a post in which he has responded twice after only being at the summit a few hours! He is responsive, positive, and accountable to this community. I have read many other profession forums and this one is special.
I am here to stay.

Welcome friend!
Garvin is a great Correspondant. But before that, he's (Like Many) been an unwavering light to our profession. Our past Corespondants have all been GODSENDS! LordSec has so much passion, hope, and vision...it hurt to see him have personal problems and step down. The Commando Community, IMHO, has the most mature and overall best compassion for this game. NOT just Commando...SWG as a whole.
Flames (directed towards us as Commandos)and trolls are rare. Open discussion is common. Respect is common. It's a great place...and I know I'll never leave! 
Cross yer fingures! Our guy has always been on a tear...we are all banking on this summet.

Gave me an image of garvin transcending upon SOE's HQ in a holy, divine light dressed in a white robe...
...with a jetpack for wings, and a rocket launcher hidden under his robe....

Glad to have ya and welcome aboard!
Most of us here are hard core Commando's and will never drop it no matter how borked we are.
Thats not to say we wont make noise...even quiet guys like me 
Oh and yes Garvin does an outstanding job ! /kudo's to him !

Here is a tipical example of how we are I'm master commado and now master Fencer.... I have been working on fencer for while... planing to use it for some PVP and not get killed in the first 10 secs But now for no reason i feel like i want to be a CH... i don't why... for some reason it came to me.... so i had to think "hmm give up this PVP fencer.. or should i stay loyal to the commando in me?"

And well it took all of .00054secs to realise i can never leave commando
But i will say this... altho i have disarmed the Napalm bomb i planted in the devs office... it's only till i see if we get any love at last :evilsmile: i can set it of remotely if needs be

I pretty much entered the SOE offices with my Flamethrower Ready...then I saw that SOETyrant has an actual Rocket Launcher in his office...He's my newest hero...

The commando community is the main reasons I havent switched professions.
We seem to have the best correspondent and the least amount of idiots.

Ive been a commando for atleast 8 months and im never droping it, when i got the game i wanted to be a commando. When i got to master commando i was confused why stuff didnt work so well, why am i getting my butt kicked in pvp when i use more SP to learn my than these other guys, Well i figured it out that commando is majorly bugged.
Then one day i came into the commando forums here and i read that i was wasnt the only one that felt this way. I readsolutions and ideas to are problems. I've been reading these forums for awhile and i just started posting as you can all see. I now have a feeling of family, of understanding of the problems we have. This is a great community and i am very happy to now be a member of it, LONG LIVE THE COMMANDO.

Glad to have another commando. I gave up rifleman cause it's hard when you start out and went for commando. Even if grenades and rocket launchers aren't that great there just so fun to use and the flamethrower is fun too despite it's it's problem!

take from garvin's overwhelming enthusiasm comming off the dev summit that our problems will soon be a thing of the past.
