The link you provided was to a player posting their ideas, not to an SOE post. I don't care what the SWGX project comes up with for their own amusement,I care about what SOE is going to implement. And you can rest assured that the sweeping, fundamental, total changes that SWGX is advocating will never be implemented in SWG - not least because as you say, every player would end up having to totally rework their characters.

They've designed an entire new game, and it's not this one, and I don't see SOE rewriting a game that they just wrotefrom basically the ground up

What worries me is the popularity I've been seeing ideas like this gather on the boards. Maybe its just the way I see it, but these Devs seems to follow the sway of the masses often. Don't know if they'd go THIS far...but I don't want them getting ideas. Just a heads up for anyone who didn't know how badly some of the player community wants to screw with us.
