It opens a door of trouble to me. Because that brings out
But I'm not safe against the LLC!
But I'm not safe against Mind Bleeds..etc.
Bah, a tradeoff?
Hmm lets see did they forget about the eternity we have to wait for between special moves?
You're absolutely right Ivoni -- sounds like a slippery slope. Plus, I still agree that they should make the DoTs factor in resists and then see if it still needs "tweaking."
Agreed on the DOT, just have it take into consideration the resists percentage. FT damage should stay as it is, I get killed plenty doing my melee range gig with the flame thrower.
This is what i want.
TheLPfires 'target seeking' rockets which implies good accuracy, especially for a master marksman I'd think. This is the one change I'd like to see, otherwise we have to practically master pistoleer to make any use of the LP.
It looks like they're talking about giving pistoleers more speed mods earlier on that skill tree, which is great because it means we can have 'decent' speed without mastering it and that's good balance. But we still need accuracy to be improved on the target seeking LP. We already have to go up smuggler or another pistoleer tree to get any shots worth having. If they'd allow us a way to have good accuracy and decent speed, then I think it would be fair. To master both commando and pistoleer leaves little in remaining skill points. No medical, scouting..etc.
I agree with all the changes except I want my +5 Knockdown, Ranged and Melee defense bonuses dammit!
Really though, good changes imho.
Board acting up.
Anyway, it raises many questions.
1. What will our speed mods be?
2. What ranged abilities apply? Will the FT/HAR use the Ranged Tree of Marksman? Do Rifleman bonuses carry over if it is designated rifle? (The latter is unlikelybecause you would further dilute that class since the HAR is much better than the T21 -- but how cool would that be hehe). Be ironic if the FT uses Suppression Fire from Marksman.
3. What combos are appropriate for commando, if any?
4. What classes and what measure of fire protection? If they fixed fire protection on armor, wouldn't that be good enough? One thing is certain -- Commando should get a fire protection mod too, and probably the best one.
