Hello all,

I have a semi-retired Bounty Hunter, and have been working my way through Brawler to try out Commando and possibly switch to it as my main profession.

I'd appreciate any tips on obtaining Unarmed XP, as I'm working on the 70+K grind for Unarmed 4. I've already gained the required combat XP. I just need Unarmed 4, and I'll be set for novice commando.

Yes, it says VK do not help you, but that is not true... they increase your speed. Diseased Bocatts are your friends. Or... anything else you can bleed, get a hit off, then kite.

Good luck.. Worse part of Commando IMO.

I personally did not subscribe to the kite technique, and unarmed was the first tree I ever completed so I didn't know about the VKs. I just shot things to pull and fought them toe to toe... I thought it was fun.

Yes I died alot... and no I didn't wear armor until nearly done with unarmed 4. I still thought it was fun...

I found the best way is to use traps, as there is no reason anyone should be without some scout skills for the terrain navigation bonus.Take creature destroy missions anduse the first level trap that debuffs melee defense. This'll both pull the critter and make it very easy to beat the stuffing out of it. Then harvest bone/hide, make more traps, repeat.
