Thread: How Much Should I Expect To Pay For Grenades?

I'm looking to get a lot of combat xp fast, and It seems using grenades is the best way to do this. Can I get some suggestions about the C12 grenade in particular? This seems to me like it would be the best grenade to use for "grinding". How much would I expect to pay for X amount, and what is good quality? It seems like the only way I'm going to be able to get a large ammount is by pre-ordering, and I'd like to have some info before I make a deal.

I think the verdict from the smiths is still out on this. I've found 5 stacks of protons on my server (kettemoor) for 500 a piece at some places other places smiths want 4k a stack. Even when trying to buy in bulk the best price I've gotten so far on protons is 70k for a crate of 25 stacks. I mean with some smiths letting them go for 500 a crate of 25 should be expected to sell for 15k tops 70k just seems like too much of a rip to me. I already pay about 500-1000 a shot for my launcher weapons which are harder to make and more versitile than a 5 stack of nades who some expect to sell at about 900 per grenade.

But as to the main topic here I wouldn't pay more than 500 for a stack of 5, 1000 tops if they're proton.

I assume the old fashioned way is the bunny nade bleed lol..........gets so **edit** sickening I'd rather pay for protons and find some good mobs to one hit with them.

Grenades of all types are pretty huge pains to build, and my weaponsmith RL friend simply refuses to build Proton Grenades if they aren't being schem'd for use in Rocket Launcher.

Not only are they resource intensive (for a weaponsmith low profit margin) Resource intensive meaning multiple types of resources that have to all be high quality to make a good explosive. They are also time intensive, taking more factory time than a typical weapon. So for a master weaponsmith why even bother with low profit grenades anything short of a crate, when you could be making 50cpu profit weapons instead?

That being said I typically pay about 500 a stack for C-22s, a bit more for Cryobans but if you want Protons, buy the rocket launcher instead

Proton Grenades are fun, but I agree that they're not widely available. Most smiths would rather use them in RLs than sell them individually or in crates because they're a pain to make.

But Protons are a Master Level certification anyway, and I think this guy's asking about the lower cert grenades.

I think 500 for a stack of 5 C12 Grenades or C22 Grenades is about the going rate, when I've seen them for sale. Some weaponsmiths hate making grenades, though, so may want more to compensate them for all the trouble, but I'd start there. Also the C22 does take a bit more in the way of resources to make, so could be a bit more expensive.
