Yes, best thing to do is just get up to flamethrower 4 and then use that to get your other tress up because they all use heavy weapons. Your field Tactics should just go up when you get your others up and roughly make it to the top with all of them. I dont recomend even looking at an acid rifle. might make you puke

Hi, I am totally new to commando and would appreciate a little help on the basic things to helpme stay alive, e.g best weapons (damage or speed) places to hunt , armoured or unarmoured

also which tree is best to go up first? flamethrower or Heavy acid rifle?

To begin with, all your questions are answered in the commando guide stickied to the top of this board. For detailed info you should look there. It's called "Commando Guide: I love the smell of Napalm"

I'll give you a very brief rundown though. Go up the flame tree first. Currently it is our only fully working weapon. The har is useless right now do to its skill mods being broken. Grenades cost ALOT of ham and are pretty inaccurate. Heavy weapons are seriously expensive and are consumable. The recommendation always is, to get a good launcher pistol to grind though flame 3, then get yourself a good flamer to grind the rest of the trees. It goes quickly once you hit flame 3 but before it's a slow and a bit tedious at times. Keep your head up though, we commandos are a proud group of players and always welcome new commandos to the *cough* horde *cough cough*
