I think that statement pretty well summarizes the present "situation" between the commando profession and the development team. The problem with us trying to communicate with them is multi-faceted, but 2 big problems are the total number of players and the number of commandoes (people who want to play the class, not flame-dabblers, no offense). There are too many players for the devs to answer all the posts, so they go with the most/biggest issues. The problem is that there are relatively few commandoes to the general population, so this puts us at a disadvantage to get our issues answered.
So what to do. I thought about it while driving home today and the one avenue that is rarely taken it seems is that of talking to the devs on test center. Now there they are live and may actually have a chance to discuss/see things in game that is not possible here on the boards. Plus, its easier to have a conversation with one person out of 30 as opposed to one group of 30 people out of several thousand. So, what I am suggesting is that those people who wish to form a commando guild on Test Center in an effort to have the opportunity to lobby for ourselves when the opportunities present themselves. Now I know some people cant do this because of time constrataints (I am in that boat too, but will make an effort) and some people just dont want to take time away from holo grinding, but I am asking you to look at the big picture and see that we need to persue this as an alternate method of being able to avert future uphevals to our profession.
In short, if you want to make a toon on tc and form a commando guild, just post here along with your tc name when you get it. I already have a slightly developed toon on tc that I will be converting to this purpose named Ahab.

I forgot to add that if you dont want to go through the process of getting back to commando (something I completely understand), we will need help in the form of armorsmiths, weaponsmiths, and an architect or two.

ill work on weaponsmiths for ya hellshot, that i havent ever done, so itll be interesting for me. sign me up for that, but ill need money and resources to make it worth while. i dl test centre last night, expect to see me for a few hours every weekends when im not causing carnage on eclipse, lol

OK, I will try and get some money together to send to you tonight. My character on TC is basically a newb, but should hopefully be done pistol 4 when I get home.

not to be a party crasher or nuthin'...
but what's the point? SOE will just ignore you guys and your testing too. Anything you show there has been posted here a thousand times over. And ignored.
Its obvious that the ..what? half a month commando career of a certain SOE employee (probably made a master character,not leveled up) doing a test that probable lasted less than 5 minutes and using very limited PVP experience as a commando carries more weight than those who have been commando for many months / since beta.
now if you'll excuse me, im off to take a week long flying lesson in acommercial cessna so I can make recomendations to the federal gov. on what changes need to be made to the F15's avionics. *rolleyes*

The point is to increase our signal to noise ratio. Right now we are a minority on this board. In game on TC, 5 or so commandoes is a lot more visible. Plus it easier to talk to someone rather than shoot messages back forth, at least in my experience. I see no harm in trying at least. Plus it might actually be fun to interact with all the people you see posting on these boards, but cant meet in game cause they are on different servers.

heh then make a BRIA TESTCENTER then. I can give you all stuff from my commando there. weapons, money, etc.

I think that test center 2 (Bria Testcenter) is going to be a rotation of different servers, at least that was my impression. I favor going to regular tc for 2 reasons. First, there are fewer players there, so its easier to voice your opinion during dev appearances, and the devs do appear on test center. Second, test center allows multiple charcter slots, allowing you to havea commando and a crafter, reducing the minimum number of people that we need for this to work.

i be there expt my dued on tc never see any love i think hes at like brawler 1000 and marks men 0000 lol and hes 3 months old

I dont want this to be short term thing. My guy is only a 0/3/1/2 marksman atm. I want us to be a developed group on the server. Its obvious there is nothing to stop/alter the changes going into the presentpublish, but I dont want to have to go through this every publish. I think its happened too many times already (2.5x melee penalty, nerfed power lp's, crappy weapon schematics and the broken HAR). Think long term about this guild. If you investone or 2 nights a week to TC instead of your regular toons, you can getthis done in a month.
