Thread: More proof that SOE hates our guts

Along with the stacking nerfs to our flamethrower's DOT, this crackdown also hits us hard below the belt.


Most commandos rely heavily on sliced flamethrowers (mostly with speed slice) in order to do their job effectivly. Now I can no longer use my flamethrower with 3.5 speed, and only 6 second refire time for specials. Because of this stupid crackdown on "illegal weapons and equipment". Ofcourse, blasters themselves are considered illegal by the empire. But no one is cracking down on those, or cloning.


Spices I can live without. I never really used anything except doc buffs for buffage anyway.


But we look at that other word that will be illegal, "sliced equipment" meaning armor. Meaning no more can I use my full suit of composite armor. This was another one of our huge advantages as commandos because our HAM cost for our flamethrower specials was so low that even fully armored we didn't feel a thing when fireing it. Now we can't wear full suits of comp armor, and must rely on OTHER armors for our needs.


In all this crackdown is going to kick every one who plays this game in the nuts. And this patch is going to kick commandos in the nuts not once, not twice, but 3 times.

Yes you can. If you're an imperial, and high enough rank, you get a salute. If you're not, you get a TEF so run. Join or die.

Rebels get a TEF.

High ranking Imperials get saluted.

Low rank Imperials and Neutrals get fined credits.


You can still use this as much as you want.

Also, this hits ALL professions that use weapons, not only Commandos.

I could live with the crackdown what I can live with is my dot being nerfed to the point a pistoleer can outdamage me a commando... a big gun specialists with no big guns to use now ...weeee

Didn't know about the rank. Still don't give a **edit**. I'm destroying all my commando gear and grinding fencer and pistoleer. The class just isn't fun without the toys and SOE isn't going to fix us for months (after the stupid combat balancing is fixxed)

It should be good fun havin the imperials runnin after all the rebel scum. Fortunatly im fairly high rank in the imperial faction so i should just get the salute or at the worst a fine.


I feel sorry for the rebel scum that will have the imps on there back all the time....actualy i dont feel sorry for them at all.

If I get a TEF, ill just burn them..simple.


If there is lots of them, ill burn them and run away very fast.


Ive got some unsliced 4.6 speed FT's though so thatll have to do...not as good as my 3.4 tho.
