Thread: Flamethrower cert at flamers 3?

Did I see that right in the CU beta? They're not gonna give us the flamethower certification until we get to flamethrowers 3? That seems kinda wrong...

It's not wrong...you really need to read the other posts in this forum before getting worried...it has been explained in other forums that the higher a weapon is placed in any tree, the more powerful it is...if the Devs move the FT down to Flame I or Novice, it'll inturn, be made weaker, and I for one want a MORE powerful FT...
Currently Commando is all about the FT...Post-CU we have to give up that line of thought. We NOW have other weapons that we'll be using more frequently, like our NON-Consumable Rocket Launcher, our LP, our new Knucklers, etc...
It's hard, but stop thinking of Commando as the FlameThrower profession and start thinking of us as the Heavy Weapon profession...once you get that down and have faith that we'll have other weapons, you'll see it clearly that we want that FT as high in our trees as we can get it (to get the most bang for our buck).

Thanks for the info... It just seemed strange to me that we'd have to grind the flamethrowers tree with a weapon other then the flamethrower... but I guess everyone (cept me 
) used the LP for it anyway.

This is why we are currently pushing for the Devs to rename at least the FlameThrower Specialization tree to something else like "Advanced Heavy Weapons"
