With all the 'Commando rules again' posts I see, one thing remains on my mind.
Perhaps everyone is going to feel the same way and we are going to become a 100% enhancement profession and 50% of the PvPers out there are going to have Commando just for the bonuses.
Perhaps Commando is going to have no versatility on its own.
I hope i'm wrong, it would suck to become a FOTM enhancement profession. I don't want to see 20 Commandos in one fight, all of them using high level grenades and heavy weapons whenever they feel like.

because seeing alot of the one professional soldier class(well aside from squad leader)on the battlefield would be......wrong?
Honestly speaking for myself I would love to see an army of differently equipped Commandos duking it out in a large scale battle like in Star Wars.Just like I want to see folks in stormtropper armor firing big honking guns.Commandos with carbines,commandos with rifles,etc etc etc

Yeah. It would be nice to see a group of commandos actually having a war.

Personally, it was nice to not be FOTM. I know many Riflemen felt the same way when they became the superpower.
My point: It shouldn't become the norm that everyone just takes Commando to enhance their primary profession rather than taking another ranged or melee profession. Commando should have a defined and unique purpose, not just be an enhancement.
If the advantages/drawbacks of taking Commando along with (lets say) Rifles are balanced, i'd accept that. But it shouldn't just be a clean 'bonus'.

I've been a Master Commando for over 12 months now and although frustrated, I was proud of my profession - still am.
To try and differentiate myself from other FOTM Commando's I put a "Veteran" in my sig to show that I have always been a Commando and always will be through the goodtimes and the bad.
I believe pre-CU Commando's need to be recognised for their perseverance through the "Nerfed" times.

Well we won't have to fear that...I already threw a thermal detonator on TC a bit ago, and had a 50 second timer 
We'll definately be having some big cool-downs on our more heavier weapons (as our grenades are the strongest weapons that go up in the thousand's of base damage)
But...remember, every profession does have a role...we'll be seeing a lot of commandos -- but we won't be seeing "commandos". And the real commandos (mastered ones) we'll be seeing...will for the most part be very different from one another. Hence, no one will really lose versititlity or anything like that...as its really about templates now. Its just a matter of what you call yourself 
Btw...we're not the only enhancement profession, every profession out there in some way or form IS an enhancer in its own right. We're unique however...where we make others' specials our own rather than just using them, so in a way we go a bit further...but then we also get less skill points free than a regular elite profession...

well considering commando gets no specials the only people that take commando will (most likely) be taking it to use the weapons, making them real commandos. As a commando though it would behoove us to take up another range prof just for thier specials. I for one am gonna take commanodo/carbs this way I can use big guns, have good specials and the "merc" tag Like Starnick said, all profs will be enhancers for other profs. No need to be upset about it.
