Thread: Best realistic FT speed possible?

Hi, I am a fairly new commando and I was wondering, what is the best attack speed you can realistically achieve with a FT?
say you have a krayt FT with the best speed slice available and all the AA's or CA's to give you speed...
I guess what I am asking is there a cap on FT speed and what isit if so?

ca/aa do not work with flamers as of now !
best possible krayt flamer uberslice etc would be around 1.6-1.8 (? not sure, havent seen any fasteryet), so yer around 1.2 seconds or so (ROUGHLY guessed)
aint no calculator" hehe

Remember, don't destory your Heavy Weapon speed/accuracy tapes. The rumor is that the tapes will be "fixed" in the CU. We don't know yet because beta testing STILL HASN'T STARTED YET!
If you want to get rid of them...then give em to me

the very very best flamers get under 2.0 seconds
my best is 1.5 but its not the best ever
ive heard of 1.2 out there somewhere but i think anything 1.6 or under would be in the top 20 ever made
need good speed tissue, imp stock, good looted barrel helps otherwise non advanced barrel, and great slice is actually the last thing
mine was 2.0 before slice and there was two one got speed one got damage so neither is a let down in anyway

what drops good barrels and the imp stock?

The imp stocks are something you get for the first quests in the emperor's retreat theme park. you'll either get imp stocks or some crapy barrles

What kind of barrel can be used in a flamer that can be looted?

I know of a flamer that was bug created that has 1.4 speed. it was a double slice (and no I dont own it).
And with that, the real attack speed would be much less.
A master commando has +45 flamer speed. That, through my test, means 45% less. So 45% of 1.4 is .63. That means 1.4 - .63 = .77
So the real attack speed is .77... dang.. that is fast.
(also, any who argue that the +45 means percent, do this test. Find out the number like I did above, then go ingame. Click timestamps on in the options window. Attack a creature about 20 times. Record the seconds it is done on. average them, you should have close to, if not directly on, the same amount)
My flamer says 2.5 speed. I really attack with 1.4 speed.
