The reason i put this into the Commando Forum is because well....the GCW is full of people whining about jedi in GCW, and i put this there and got like 1 positive response. So I thought it might get more light in here.

I don't know if anybody barely knows this, but there is a /gcw command that says which side is winning the war. And a idea sprout up, make every month start over the GCW. You can have 3 main ways of winning the monthly war.

1) Bases: Have a set amount of static bases that in the beginning are controled by Neutral NPC's that are fairly difficult to take over. Each base should have a sorta defensive system that needs to be taken out by certain professions, such as player bases, but on a much larger scale, you then have to hold the base for a set amount of time to turn the base over to the faction you are in. There should be around 5-10 bases in the galaxy, and maybe more being introduced for the larger servers. The more bases the faction controls, the more influence on what side is winning the faction has. This would in turn also take affect with player bases, seeing which side has the most bases that have been active for a set amount of time. Say Faction A puts down a base, Faction B has a set amount of time to take down that base before the base counts as a faction base for Faction A and goes into the Faction A's Base score.

2) Battlefields: If the battlefields do get fixed and put into the system again, they could have affect on what side is winning. There could be around 3-5 set battlefeilds in the galaxy. The battlefield woulc count into the GCW score of each faction. The faction that wins the battle during that day gets a set amount of points added to the GCW total points for that faction.

3) PVP killings: The total amount of player kills that a faction gets goes into score for which side is winning the GCW. To disallow people from exploiting this by killing helpless people, only make the PVP kills be counted when they are done either during the base raids, or in the battlefields.

Bases could take up maybe 50% of the influence on the GCW
Battlefields take up maybe 35% of the influence on the GCW
PVP Killings take up maybe 15% of the influence on the GCW

The faction that has the most influence on the GCW at the end of the month wins the GCW for that month. Then the average of whether rebels or imps won gets counted up from all the galaxies, and they announce maybe which faction all galaxy wide won the GCW.

After the month is done, all the static bases get reset to neutral, and all the timers on the players bases get reset so it would be a mad rush to take out those bases and defend their own bases to take into count.

This would promote teamwork by all groups in each faction to work together on, and give momentum through out the Galaxies. For example, imagine Bria's Rebel faction did a huge push on their server, and got a huge influence percentage for their side, it would give the other rebel's on other server's boosted moral to do the same to win the war.

Some would think, why would we fight for to win a war that is meaningless, well i thought of a idea of having a new faction weapon or faction perk be given to the winning faction of that month, or a extra faction perk. And maybe have it so that the faction that is winning in a certain number of times in a row, like 3-5 times in a row, gets a big faction perk.

They tried to impliment the static base control into the GCW, but because of "bugs" it never panned out. If there's no incentive (item reward) for the players to lead their faction into victory no one would care, and reseting the static bases to neutral would tick off the people who use those bases as FP farms. The other stuff is a step in the right direction to getting the GCW rolling again until JTL goes gold.

Well considering the idea of people still needing faction farm bases, maybe have 5-10 dynamic faction bases and 2 static faction bases, 1 for each faction.

Well you've posted in the right place hehe, we like everyone here and don't flame. I like your ideas about the gcw. Hell anything they do to it would be an improvement lol. But yeah the gcw would actually serve a purpose. They do say that they want all professions to have a purpose- well this is their chance. For us commandos we are an important part of taking down these bases, etc. Well, as long as we get better damaged weapons with all at atleast medium ap ... Thanks for posting in here

Good idea. I like it! Hopefully something will happen to the GCW to grab our interests. I like your idea alot, I would most deffinatly get involved. Another thing that would be nice is if we could grab "Strike Team Missions" at only large Faction bases that give various(exteremly hard) missions that have quest roots and your Faction Rank will allow you to add various "specialists" to your group and would allow you to get better missions with better loot. Perhaps one reward for taking out bases is a badge or something added to you profile. Let's keep this post going with ideas.biwan:
