Thread: Underslung carbine on hold....Alternative Idea inside

How bout an Underslung....Grenade Launcher!!! Im thinking something along the lines of the underslung launcher that can be mounted on M4 assault rifles/carbines. I figure it could work like this-
-Would be certed at Master Comando
-Would be able to be attached to any Ranged weapon that is NOT a Heavy Weapon
-Would effectively Increase the range of grenades fired from it by 30 metres (to a maximum of 64 for the c12's 22's and glops)
-would go on the weapon like a powerup and change the gun model to reflect its presence.
-To use, simply select a grenade and use it as you normally would, but youd get a fire animation from the launcher instead of the normal throw animation and the extra range would be added off course.
-would have a substantial warm up and cool down phase to simulate loading/unloading.
Yay for crazy ideas at 3 AM while high on caffeine =P

I rather have the underslung carbine. But if we must have a temporary replacement thats not so bad I guess. What if we had a mortar launcher that rooted us in place but did unholy damage with around 100M range? Say you had a mortar launcher, it worked like a fishing pole. You select granade, drag it to the mortar launcher, and it was affectively loaded. Then you targeted what you wanted to from up to 100M away, clicked attack and your charecter would kneel down and the mortar would launch. A granade would then gain 1K-3K extra damage for impact plus the affects of its extra attack (knockdown/blind/emp). It would have a 50% chance of striking a mobile target, and a 100% chance striking a perm target such as a lair or turret with the radius of the blast (30M) affecting mobile creatures around it just like a real mortar.
