With most of our weapons having an AOE (area attack) mod, I'm conserned that we don't have may options for a single attack. The Heavy Weapons and Grenades will agro creatures to the "maximum distance of the weapon" 25m-65m.


Is this going to be a problem withMobs in missions and High End Cave? I've been hunting a lot on Dath and Lok and with high spawn rate on these planets it's not uncommon for me to have argos from near by spawn when I use an area attack. In cave like the Dealth Watch Bunker an area attack can lead to near instant dealth for the group.


I thinK this is something we need to look at and test to see if it's going to be a big issue with our Profession.

Ive also beenvery concerned for what thismay do to commandos in the DWB, or vette post-CU...

there are plenty of other options to use in those situations. and as such you should just use one weapon.

yeah but aoe tends to be abit bugged any how... u notice how u flame cone2 in a cave and then entire cave aggros u despite only 3 enemies either get hit/ close by... same with starfeshots on rifleman

Yeh but the MKs are a novice weapon, and the HAR is a tier 1 weapon. Not favourable by masters, due to low dmg output.

Thats why we got the proton rifle at master.

Currently we have a weapon. The proton rifle (Master Cert)

I'm just concerned that this might be loot weapon (a rare weapon), but yes who wants to group a commando who has 90% AOE weapons

On a different note, I was in a group last night grinding away heavy weapons xp. I used the launcher pistol and rocket launcher on targets in close proximity to other hostle targets without aggro'ing them.

So i guess its down to our testing to determin a list of weapons and situations for use.
