I just hit Lvl 1. Is this a alright lvl to use it? My LP is weak and only good against At-St's. Or should I wait alternat between till i get lvl 3? Also Flame Single rocks.
And what does /Aim do? does it help accuracy?
Thanks

Most people stick with the LP till flame 3, thats when it gets good.
I also try to use the Aim & Flame Technique. IT does help but remember it will slow you down.
Also another tip for you un-equip the FT after you do flame single and equip a weapon you have better melee defenses with. the 2.5x multiplier is brutal.

The above post is very good advice. In fact I think that is what most people do. Except for me, lol. I bought my flamethrower a month before I got novice commando and ever since the day I got novice commando I havent put down my flamthrower. I missed quite a bit in the begining, but I had a blast going through the flamethrower tree with just my flamethrower. Was the best experience in the game so far, besides my guild activites. So, give it a shot at right now and if you cant stand it, then switch weapons. By the way, I think my worst record was 1 hit for 10 shots, lol. Its fun though!

Heh,
I'm doing the same as Mac... Bought the FT, use it extensively. Currently at 1-0-3-0 and almost to FT IV. I've heard some good things about the Launcher Pistol however (from this board) so bought and used my first one last night.
I thought the effects of the FT were impressive, sheesh!
Talk about overkill animation! ha ha. I now see how this could be used as a lag inducing weapon for PVP.
Side note, I JUST learned that specials such as Overcharge 1 & 2 work with FTs - Nifty!
